I have no negative comment for this hotel

The room was spotless, the bed comfortable and the view amazing. Breakfast was included with a good selection and endless coffee. We had a meal in the restaurant which was excellent and great value for money. The area is picturesque with Geres national park, a 15/20 minute drive away and the Sao Bento Church, 5 minutes drive away. We stayed for 2 nights off season, so it was quiet. The couple that run the hotel couldn't do enough for us, both spoke English, so my faltering Portuguese was not a problem. It was my wifes birthday, a cake was provided and they sang happy birthday, which was a lovely touch. This summed the owners up! There's a carpark outside so it had everything for me. I definitely recommend this hotel.

If you wish to come here out of season and expect a nice time swimming in the river, sorry you need be prepared for cold weather and rain. But its brilliant for relaxation and very queit during this time of the year.

Good location right next to the river, beautiful and serene. hosts are patient and helpful. There are some restuarants up the road - very good food and beautifil viewing points around the town.

Nothing to be honesr

Amazing family hotel in Geres! Staff was super friendly and service orientated. Room was spacious and had a great view to the water. AC existed and was needed in August. Restaurant offers delicious Portuguese cuisine for dinner and lunch. Had dinner there nearly every evening during our stay.

Some privacy between balconies would be nice, also a smaller table would do better. Room felt a bit outdated.

Easy parking, right in front of the hotel. Staff was friendly, good customer service. Hotel and the room were clean. Breakfast was basic. There is a beach on the other side of the road where you can go swimming and do other water sports.

Shower needed few minutes to get warm.

Breakfast was nice and in buffet style, very nice bread served and quite few options so anyone can find something for themselves. Room nice, comfortable, good AC. Bathroom clean and nice, however shower needed 4-6 minutes running before it kept temperature warm, was cold for quite a while. Welcoming staff, nice lady on breakfast asked everyone about scrambled eggs, which I found nice as it was only warm option except toasts.

In my eyes the hotel is not a 3 star but a 5 star hotel.

I felt at home with the people who welcomed you warmly at the hotel. All staff are nice and don't hesitate to help you if you have a question. The restaurant has the best chef in Portugal. There is much to do. You can eat, swim a lot and take the bus. You can take the bus to the north and easily walk to the south.

New Year's Eve dinner at the restaurant was spectacular. We didn't have a plan at the time and we decided to go to the hotel's restaurant. They even put a little champagne bottle in our room. We really appreciated it! Great choice!

The only negative was the noise in the room. We were on the back side (no view) and could hear noise from the staff all night into the early morning.

Great breakfast, excellent location (right across from a Praia Fluvial/lake beach), friendly staff. The Restaurant food was incredible (although menu quite short).

Super nice staff, friendly and fun people. I don't know who gives out the stars, but this Hotel definitely deserves more stars!! Very good kitchen as well. And beautiful location at the river. Nice view from the room. Would definitely recommend this Hotel!

We had a wonderful stay at the Beleza Serra Guide Hotel. The Hotel has an excellent location and views. Great staff also! The hotel has water/lake view rooms at a small extra, but that money is well worth it. We stayed for 5 nights in one of those rooms with water/lake view, and loved it. Our kids stayed in one room that faced the back. Both rooms were very comfortable and clean, with lots of light, and with plenty of space. Our room, as all the other ones that face the water, had a good balcony, with a table and chairs, great to enjoy and relax while overlooking both the water and the mountains on the other side of the water. The wifi worked flawless and was very fast. Our kids loved that. The staf was very friendly and helpful, always available. They gave us a lot of very useful suggestions for the many outdoor activities available in the surroundings. We did buggy rides, horseback riding, a 4weel driving tour with a guide (they picked us up at the hotel after lunch and took us back at the end of one afternoon), water ski, etc, all to be contracted with local vendors at very reasonable prices - they can give you the information at the hotel, and a lot is on their website. And being able to just cross the road and be on the the water, after a day full of activities, and dive into those calm and warm waters (in July!), was an added bonus. We spent a lot of our time on outdoor activities, but some of the hotel guests just stayed for the day in the beach which is almost just across the street from the hotel (1 minute walking). The air conditioning worked perfectly and was very useful, as we experienced very high temperature days (outside), even at night, during our stay in July 2021. The restaurant downstairs has very good food at reasonable prices, and the breakfast was also very good. And both with a great view too! We loved it, and we will be back for sure!
