Having to leave

Hiking trails all around. Near the ocean. Excellent food. The owner asked me to accept a small room. I agreed and he gave me a dinner for free. I was fed so well, I could not finish. Breakfast was simple but good. The coffee was excellent!!

I expected more vegetables and hot food at breakfast time. Car parking available only in the steeet and not so close 100-400m.

The breakfast doesn't offer a lot of choice, but once again, for the price the hotel is a great deal !

The hotel and the room were really clean, and felt family friendly as suggested by the name. The owner welcomed us warmly (he owns the restaurant next door and you can find him there if not at the reception). We stayed only one night, but it was a great deal for the price ! There's a fridge in the room. The hotel is located next to the Machico beach, and you can park easily. Didn't try the restaurant. It's only 15 minutes away from the Sao Lourenço walk.

Everything you need for a good vacation in Madeira, if you want to feel the real, not the touristic, Madeira. The kindest host, truly welcoming and warm attitude. The restaurant serves traditional Madeira cuisine, locals also love this place. Fantastic location with the superb views.

- I discovered that the free parking of the hotel is small. You’re not guaranteed to have a place. - 08.00 am for the breakfast is a bit late for people who like hiking and have to drive vey early to the hiking sites.

A lovely hotel in a great location. Our view from our balcony of the bay was amazing. The owner was really great and the bar and restaurant downstairs was a huge bonus. Simple but great breakfast set us up for the amazing hikes nearby. Hotel parking was limited but there was a better free public car park close to the hotel that meant we didn’t have to drive up and down the narrow road.

Furniture is old, a renovation is needed.

There is something that makes this place special and it is its owner; very humble and transparent person. I would recommend you to stay there just for this. Please try a fish meal at the restaurant (one of the best I had during all of my holidays). You can enjoy great views and the location is perfect if the day after you have an early flight.

I liked that it was clean, the staff were all very lovely and the food delicious. Tolentino was a lovely host who is very polite and always greeted us with a smile. Great location and amazing view of the beach and the mountain.

Accomodation is on great location near city center and beach. Room way recently renovated and has everything we needed. Stuff was attentive andpleasant. Overaly we had great experience and we would gladly come back.

The property didn’t have aircon (which we knew) so if you struggle with the heat I would recommend getting a fan.

The view from the balcony was absolutely incredible - we were able to watch the sunrise on clear days! The hotel staff were very welcoming and kind, and the room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was included, which was filling and fresh, consisting of bread, pastries, jams, ham, cheese, cereal and eggs. The coffee each morning was amazing!! Location is fantastic, with the beach and restaurants only being a 5 minute walk.

Very very clean! You could eat out of the bathroom floor!!! Recent soundproof windows. Decoration simple but recent, with well-thought room arrangements to store your things! The owner is a very discret nice man.

Vegetables missing for breakfast, two single beds in our room even though app said a double bed

Great location near beach and airport, check-in at 1am after flight delay was no problem. Breakfast was very pleasant, we could also leave our luggage after check-out for a while. I would definitely recommend for the start of your Madeira journey.
