The property was probably overbooked and they moved us to a hotel across the street. The problem was that we booked a much nicer room than what we got at the other place (we got a room in the basement) and even normal rooms were cheaper there as we could see on Booking.com. The owner made no attempt to contact us about the change beforehand. The next day we could talk to him and he offered a discount on the price, so we felt somewhat compensated.

super nice owner. very clean: room cleaned every day. tasty breakfast with fresh bread every morning. sufficient wifi. sea view room with small balcony. 4 parking spots next to the building and many close by. towels and cosmetics provided. my BEST accommodation ever, so far!

The owner is super attentive and helpful. Staff are very keen on making guests comfortable. I love that it is close to the ocean, and has many options for food choices within walking distance.

Perfect place to stay. Clean and spacious room with a nice view on the ocean. Being located not far away from the beach, city center and bus stop it's quite calm. Very friendly staff and cozy restaurant on the first floor.

Parking is not always available which means you have to walk up and down a steep hill.

Perfect location with views and close to shops, restaurants and the beach. The airport is also very close which is convenient, especially if you have an early flight.

The shower head didn't fit into the holder, it was broken. You had to hand hold it.

Nicely renovated building, very comfortable. Owner made sure we got coffee and continental breakfast before catching taxi to airport for early flight .

Furniture is not exactly up to date, but everything else was lovely so it worked for us :)

Very close to the airport, they accepted us even if we arrived at 2:30 am (reception closed but a letter attached to the main door told us where to get our keys), clean room and bathroom (shampoo and soap provided by the hotel), nice breakfast and kind host.

No coffee making facilities available in the room. Admittedly, the breakfast was included. But if you wake up before 8 a.m. and want some coffee, it might be hard to get.

The place is really nice - the staff does everything in their power to make your stay comfy and nice, the rooms are cleaned every day and the linen smells fresh. Everything is spotless :) could not recommend it more :)

No fridge in the room, the furniture is old and the room is very simple. No hairdryer.

Close to the beach and decent breakfast included, also the room was clean. It has restaurant on ground floor - we didn't tested it, but seems ok.

There was just a letter on the door of the booked accommodation, that we should go somewhere else. If we accidentaly did not meet a personal from the hotel, who helped us, we would not know where to go.

We were accommodated in a neighbour hotel, apparently due to our late arrival. (before midnight) But the hotel was a better type of accommodation than what we booked, so we could not complain.

unfortunately we were here only 2 nights and the second evening was the restaurant closed because was Monday

The atmosphere, dinner, the best coffee on the Madeira and communication with owner was perfect.

The double beds are quite small to share with two friends, of course this is the case in a lot of Portuguese places, so nothing different here. If you talk to loud in the corridor the other rooms might hear it, but this didn`t happen a lot, so nothing to not book this accommodation.

The location is good, not far from the centrum and not far from the bus station/supermarket. The owner is a very friendly person, and the breakfast is a good basic breakfast. I recommend this place to stay for a couple of nights.

Noice from the street in the evenig. But it was not so bad.

Accomodation is located near to the airport. Beatiful view and acces to peninsula. Delicious breakfast and very friendly host.
