The WiFi signal was very weak and we could not connect from our room but if you have a SIM card with data, this is not a big deal. Our ensuite bathroom and our room had no ventilation unless you open the windows (but then you get some mosquitos), so a fan would be nice.

Nice friendly staff. Free streetside parking for our rental car. Breakfast (included) was very good with a nice variety. Our room was very clean and comfortable. In a nice location close to many restaurants and not too far of a walk to downtown Funchal. Good value for the price paid.

Bed was a bit too hard, but ok

It was a great place, well organised, clean, and staff is amazingly cordial. Breakfast was simple and tasty. It's a 30-minute walk to the city centre, and we loved doing that everyday. Staff is very helpful with everything, from getting us a taxi to give as tips of what to do and where to go.

Toilet space may be cramped for large people.

Large rooms with large shower cabins in lido district (20 min uphill walk west from center or take bus 24/42). Free street parking (for small cars). Excellent breakfast 8-10am. Nice owner and kitchen staff. Great balcony.

We had a couple of small red ants in the bedroom. Got bitten during the sleep.

The price is cheap, breakfast is included and was pretty good. They have parking spots for guests, it is a bit difficult to park, but that's how it is in Madeira.

Quite location, in short walking distance from many restaurants, supermarkets and public transportation. Friendly staff, tidied room, small fridge and air conditioning in the room, balcony oriented to the garden, simple but tasty breakfast.

They show you photos of very new rooms with great bathroom, but that is not what we found when we got there. The bathroom was not very clean and very very old (but maybe it was only my room). If they just renewed this rooms, I would have put a 10 for this place. There was a big dog all the time there, which I found a bit annoying at times. However, I would repeat the stay because of the price, breakfast and swimming pool !

The breakfast was excellent. There were many things and in a great timetable (8:00-10:00). The staff was not very professional but really nice. The owner knew many languages so it was easy to talk with him. Walking distance to many places, but it is not in the centre of Funchal. The swimming pool was nice and there were many plants. The sun loungers were very comfy. The place is very calm and you cannot hear any car from the room.

Nice room with a fridge and breakfast included, with very nice and accommodating staff. I asked at breakfast if I could have some gluten free bread and the host went to buy gf bread and cakes for me, and just handed to me and told me to keep them in the room! Room service incredible, they would come every day to clean the room, make the bed and change the towels!!

Maybe a little bit noisy if you stay in camera with a street view but if you close the door it is fine.

Location was great Manuel and Sabine are very kind and they help a lot.We rented a car from the internet but they can help you to find a car and not be fooled to pay a lot of insurance!! Breakfast is so good especially the home made humus!!

Improvements on adding knobs on the drawers that are currently missing them. Improving the condition of the door to the bathroom as the layer is flaking off

What a great breakfast included and beautiful scenery on the outside. Friendly staff great atmosphere. Wonderful location. Price is very fair. Overall very comfortable. I like that you can sit on the porch outside of the rooms and enjoy the night breeze. I would stay again. Tons of great restaurants and patisserie nearby. Tip: walk up the alleyway Infront of the property instead of walking around. Google maps does not indicate this is possible so we dragged our luggage up an incline the long way. The host was accommodating as we requested a kettle inside the room.
