The room smelled a bit stale when we arrived. But we quickly solved the problem with ventilation. The furniture is a bit rustic, old-fashioned. But we were not particularly interested in this, because we only went to the accommodation to sleep. The price/value ratio is perfect!

I liked the ease of booking the accommodation. The host was very kind and helpful. The location of the hotel is priceless, as it is in the city center. For example, you can buy beer within a hundred meters in the nearby large grocery store. The rooms were clean, daily cleaning and towel change. We were able to prepare both breakfast and dinner in the kitchen in the basement. The receptionist also helped with cooking! Thanks for that too! You can go up to the floor both on foot and by elevator (although the elevator is quite small, max. 3-4 people). Overall, we were completely satisfied with the accommodation!

The facilities. The toilet seat was hanging off! The sliding bathroom door, got stuck. There was no privacy at all! There was mould everywhere, probably a health issue. The room door was not very secure, quick boot and it would be of it's hinges. Beds were uncomfortable, one was super hard and the other so soft you disappeared. No luxuries what so ever! No daily cleaning! Had to ask for more toilet roll. No shower gel. Towels smelt really bad! The place was just so dirty. Full of ants. It states a 3 star!!

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was brilliant. The cafe across the road was fantastic.

The restaurant / bar outside was a little noisy at night, but I was there during the Christmas season, so I shouldn't really complain.

It's a good central location. The staff are friendly and helpful. It's good to have use of a kitchen. The room is a little small, but is adequate for one person, and good value for money in Funchal.

All the rest was a nightmare, but well for this price i guess you can't find anything better. Room was very small and not insulated at all, we could hear everything from other rooms and from outside. Worst part was the bathroom, it was very smelly and the smell was spreading trough the whole room making it impossible to sleep at night, also we had a ants invasion, coming from some holes in the wall,the roof was full of mold above the shower. We informed about the problems, but nothing was solved.we had only 2 nights so we decided to stay, but i wouldn't recommend for long stays.

Position and check in were very good, reception is 24h and the place is walking distance to basically everything in funchal.

the place is outdated 1990-2000, no much improvement since, it says it's 3 star hotel, but in reality it's a star hotel

Walls of the room needs paint, all residential place needs a reconstruction, it is strong smell of old place and cigarette smell in shared areas, including stairs. Old mattraces looked bad. It was very hard to close the window, I needed to call a receptionist to help me to close the window. Personal was nice, excluding situation we had to wait for them to open room for us, they were late with check-in time.

It has a good location in centre of Funchal.

Excelllent basic breakfast arranged at Hotel Sirius opposite the Monaco. Alberto the Day Manager was excellent and most helpful. Location could not be better.

Only thing I didn't like it was lift engine room next door and , bit noisy and annoying during night time.

Very good location, nice balcony with fantastic view. Shops and restaurants around the corner.
