The towels look, feel and smell REALLY old, and the curtain right next to my bed had all sorts of suspicious looking stains and dust.

If you have an early flight - this place is ideal. The hotel is small but very clean. The owner is always happy to help. It is about 20mins walk along the coast to the airport. On the down side, the sound isolation is poor and you can hear the noise from the bar downstairs and flights arrivals/departures.

The facilities were quite old, but everything was functional, so wasn't such a problem

Stayed just for one night before my flight in the morning. The hotel is directly in the center of Santa Cruz, it is quite hard to find parking there. Half an hour walking distance to the airport but it is possible to catch Bolt for cca 4 euros to the airport even at 4am. The hotel seemed to accommodate mostly senior people so it was quite quiet. Good deal for your money if you need to stay somewhere close to the airport before your flight.

We arrived late at night (we informed the structure in advance). The man at the reception took us to another room by car (in another hotel, 5 minutes away). Instead of a triple room with bathroom we were given a double room with external bathroom (exclusive use). When I pointed out that we had booked a triple room, the man answered they had no more rooms available (so why selling them on booking?). I am writing this just to inform other future guests of this possibility. The room was fine, with a lovely balcony and an amazing view. 5 minutes on foot from the other structure but with stairs to the town centre and cramped parking space on the road. As we had to meet the car rental company at the official address, we had to carry our things there, which was a bit uncomfortable but ok. Breakfast was at a bar 5 minutes on foot. Breakfast was bread, ham and cheese, juice and coffee. If you want you can walk from the airport (around 30 minutes).

Outdated facilities, squeaky bed but in fairness, you get what you paid for.

Location is the highlight of this property, many restaurants just few minutes walk, beachfront at the doorstep, very close to the airport, friendly and helpful host, good value for the money.

A more subtle light would have been a lovely extra.

The staff made checking in very easy - our plane was delayed and they were waiting for us at 2:30am. The room was very hot but the fan was sufficient to make our sleep comfortable. Upon leaving, the receptionist booked us a 3:30am taxi, which arrived early. The hotel is next to the promenade and numerous cafes. A perfect first and last place to stay on holiday in Madeira.

The property is actually a good value for Money. However it really needs renovation and towels replacement as they are very old and used. Apartment is not clean to be honest. It is also super loud but that is because of busy area.

Amazing location before going to the airport. You can walk from there. Nice promenade and restaurants around. Stuff is very nice.

I missed en electric kettle and fridge in the room, but for only one night it was not a big problem to us

we came on foot from the airport, so the localisation (almost 2 kilometres took us about 20 minutes walk) for the first night after touching down is perfect - room was simple but comfortable, after long journey and in such a heat we needed a shower and a rest - and we got it - nearby a lot of bars for evening vine and for breakfast in the morning - nice surroundings and nice place to have a little walk
