How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The only thing we'd change is adding doors to the bedroom areas for a bit of additional privacy.
The location was wonderful, within walking distance to everything in the center. The apartment worked really well for our party of 3 and was clean and modern. The host was there to meet us inside and was very helpful and informative. The view from the upstairs window of the cathedral was beautiful! We were also pleasantly surprised by the lack of street noise as it's a fairly busy, mainly pedestrian street that has a lot of visitors and live music.

Not one thing!
We discovered that this is the best location on the best street in Historic Porto. It's close to good restaurants, interesting shops and best of all, there are at least 3 musicians pla6on the street at any one time. It's far enough from the crowds that walk along the Douro river and the souvenir sellers but close enough to be able to walk to that river area in a few minutes. We were picked up by Mr. Alberto from the airport arranged by Susana. Thank goodness we didn't rent a car...it wouldn't have been allowed onto Rua d Flores...but Mr. Alberto was able to drive right up to the apartment! We flirted with the idea of taking the Metro to Sao Bento station (which is very close to the apt) but so glad we used a taxi service because the narrow cobblestone sidewalks wouldn't have been convenient to pull our large wheeled luggage. The apt is newly refurbished, easy to settle into, thoughtfully designed and quiet! Couldn't hear the musicians on the street until you opened the main door out onto the street. The bed was firm and made up comfortably. Good for 1 night or 7. Better than the fancy hotel on a busy street! Susana helpful and attentive.

Beautiful apartment in the heart of the Porto. Walking distance from major tourist attractions. Susana and her husband provided us taxi from airport, best restaurant information near the beach.

Absolutely nothing not to like, just wished we had time for a longer stay at Ribeira Flores 59.
The apartments are amazingly beautiful, large and functional. The owner Susana is amazing and very helpful in providing Porto visitor information. The location is excellent, just a short easy walk to the train station and a very large and convenient parking garage. This had been one of the best stays we had in Portugal, don't hesitate and wait, do yourself a favor and book an apartment here!

The apartment was right in the centre of Porto with Sao Bento station, restaurants, shops etc nearby. We walked off the busy street into a quiet, calm building. We were able to sit on a small courtyard at the back of our apartment after a busy day of siteseeing. We were given a warm welcome by the hosts on check in, given a street map and an explanation of where best to go and how to get there. The apartment is spacious and well equipped.

My daughter and I stayed in a two bedroom apartment here last weekend. The apartment is in the perfect location for exploring Porto. Check in was great and Paula was very helpful in pointing out places of interest on a map. Communication prior to checking in (with Susana) was great too and we were able to find the apartment easily. The apartment itself was spotless and very comfortable. Should you wish to cook, the kitchen is compact but well equipped. The beds were comfortable and the small details were much appreciated (especially the toiletries). If I visit Porto again, this would definitely be top of my list!

May be a hanger in the entrance hall for hanging up the coats.
The apartment is beautiful, clean, new and very comfortable and is in the centre of the city. The hosts both Susana and her husband Pedro are very kind. Susana responded to my messages very fast and Pedro gave us a of tips.

Everything was top!
The appartment was clean, beautiful,equipped with everything you need. Beds are wonderful location could not be better. Suzanne, her husband and her friend who greeted us were super! Nothing was too much. And a special thanks to Alberto who came to fetch us from the airport and after our stay drove us to Europcar. He was friendly and truly wonderful.

Nothing. The apartment was in excellent condition, very modern and well equipped.
Location was excellent and although on a pedestrianised street our room was very quiet. We had the code to let ourselves but in the welcoming host was there to greet us, explain everything with tips on local sites and restaurants. Could not have been more helpful.
