How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Excellent location for the airport, kind and friendly host, great value, very comfortable beds and a pool table to entertain the kids! We had a 6am flight, and got a taxi no problem at 3:45, and for less than 4 euros! All perfect, thanks so much, we’ll be back.

The room is without a kitchen, so make sure you come with your own food. Although an electric kettle is provided and can be used to prepare tea or coffee.
The room is an extension to the host building, where the host family lives. They provide us the access to play billiards which was very sweet of them. Also, they live next door so whenever you are need of something you can easily contact the host family.

We loved the place!!! Cozy and in a very quite area, in the evening we were able to play pool with the friends. Before arrival from the rainy and chilly day the room was preheated which was very lovely. Overall we really enjoyed the stay, also was very convenient because location was right next to the airport. Will recommend this place! Thank you for a very lovely accomosation to stay at! :)

It was very cold and a heater was not noticeable. Took a little while for the grandson to open the gate. I was unsure if I was at the right location.
Towels available, comfortable beds with blankets. Friendly lady. Close to airport. Safe and clean. Restaurant in walking distance.

Really nice accommodation close to the Caminho Portuguese da Costa (even an option for the Central route). The host is awesome and gave provided some tips for the camino! Felt like home and would come back anytime! Highly recommended.

Very friendly and helpful owner, spacious and clean room, excellent value. Located in a very quiet residential neighbourhood, just a 5-min drive away from the airport. Perfect!

Very inviting host. Super clean. Very nice facilities with a solarium and pool table. Nice TV with netflix, AC and comfy beds. Perfect for people who have to be close to the airport. Cost us 4eur with Uber to get to the airport.

We really enjoyed staying at this accommodation close to the Porto Airport. This was a perfect location within close driving distance to the airport and was perfect for us with our rental car before flying out early the next morning. There is also a Intermarché grocery store and gas station extremely close to the property. The Intermarché gas station also surprisingly had some of the cheapest gas we saw anywhere in Portugal so this was an excellent place to fill up the rental car before turning it in. The host was very communicative and speaks great English. The facilities are well equipped (nice bedrooms and large bathroom). We also enjoyed using the pool table.

The Host was very friendly. Communication was perfect. Apartment ist clean and comfortable. Supermarkt is next to the house. It was a very nice stay.

Laura was very kind and took us in after a long long day. She helped with the things that we need. Talked with us and heard all about our day, because honestly we really needed someone to tell about our adventure. We had a very lovely lovely stay! And when we go back to porto we will definitely book our stay at this place again!

It is indeed really close to the aiport which was exactly what we needed since we were arriving by plane in Porto late and wanted to hit the road early in the morning. The rooms are very spacious and the neighbourhood quiet. We ended up forgetting a necklace in the property and the host contacted us an we've managed to arrange to pick it back.

Exactly as in the photos, super clean and organized place, exceeded our expectations, perfect for a family that wants comfort and tranquility close to the airport, bakery and supermarket less than 5 minutes walking! not to mention the reception of the hostess Laura, thank you for the stay!
