Woke up each morning to quite a few dead flies in the bathroom and little ants around the property. Didn't bother us too much but had to be cautious with leaving food out (ants all over our bread on the first morning).

The accommodation is unbelievably central, next to all the main attractions of the town. It is clean and modern, making our stay very comfortable. Marcos was an excellent host, and accommodated all of our requests- he facilitated things we wanted to see and provided great suggestions throughout the trip.

Bed is not so easy to move up and down if you are short like we are, and the shower fixing was too high for one of us to reach. Spiral staircase to patio is attractive and ingenious, but it is tight and care is needed getting up and down. You can hear diners outside the restaurant opposite conversing up to midnight, but mostly at a low level and it doesn’t stop you getting off to sleep.

Very well modernised little house, well designed well equipped. Excellent location in old town in pedestrianised street with everything you need nearby - basic shops, market, restaurants, cafės, buses, coaches, taxis, cable car, sea etc. Very useful being picked up at the airport by the owner.

Not a 'dislike', but the house is opposite a popular restaurant. It generally emptied out by 10.30 and we didn't find it too noisy even when it was at its busiest, but those who go to bed earlier than that might prefer a quieter spot.

A great place to stay! The house is ingeniously arranged in order to fit everything you could possibly need into a compact space. The spiral staircase up to the rooftop balcony is a magical touch. Everything you'd expect is provided, plus thoughtful extras like umbrellas and herbal tea. The location is great - right in the heart of the old town, with the sea just a street away. The host was friendly and super-helpful, with loads of great recommendations for restaurants and handy websites. I recommend!

If you are having problems with falling asleep, you should get the ear plugs as the house is located on a busy street- it didn't bother us much though. I am unfortunately very sensitive to smell and when entering the flat the air is quite musty - airing helped.

We were welcomed at the airport by Marcos, who brought us the car that we've booked with him the last minute. The whole communication was smooth and fast, which we needed due to our problems with the arrival to Madeira. The house is as you see in the pictures... tiny :D but had everything we needed! It was very clean and comfortable. All facilities were in place. The house is a stone throw from the beach and from tons of restaurants. There are couple things i didn't like, but overall we loved our stay!!! So totally recommended

it’s an old house so it can smell a little damp - but it’s not too bad and you can just open the windows

The rooftop terrace with the pretty view on the sea. the great location - very central. the host was super friendly, gave us great tips and we could do a late check out as they didn’t have new guests arriving that day. bed was comfortable. the overall style of the place is really nice. really good shower :) it’s a place you like to hang out at.

This cute little tiny house was fully equipped and I loved the area (bairo) very much. It is located in the old town with nice cafes, bars and restaurants. Very close is a public pool down the rocks where people can swim in the sea. Coming back to Funchal I would always book this tiny house again. In the evening you can enjoy a sundowner on the roof top.

The only complian is regarding the shower. The drain wasn`t very good, so the water flooded in the bathroom every time.

It’s a bit dark inside because the only window is little and directly on the street so we kept it closed most of the time. You can access the rooftop through a little staircase and a little window, so I guess it’s not easy for everyone to go up there. Also it might be a little noisy on the evening with all the restaurants and bars around, but it’s the price to pay for having such a nice location !

The appartement is tiny but very well furnished and organized. It was very clean when we arrived, there’s all the equipment you might need. It looks all new and you can see the appartement is treated with great care. There’s a little rooftop as well, very nice to have breakfast early in the morning or to have a drink at night ! I think the main advantage about this place is its location at the heart of the old town of Funchal, in between animated bars and restaurants!

The door literally opened up onto the street seating for the restaurant opposite, which was noisy until very late at night.

Great location in the middle of the old town restaurant area. Close to the sea. Marco was a great host. very welcoming and provided lots of local information. Place was very clean, and well equipped.
