Beautiful views, perfect location, friendly and helpful staff.

Foods are inconsistent. There are days food are decent and other days foods are either over-cooked or tasteless. Despite many people comment on great breakfast, I found it rather disappointing. The fry eggs are so over-cooked and heated, they become leathery. And how could anyone get watermelon so wrong? During my 10 night stay, the watermelon was never fresh, there is no crunch to it and obviously they have been left in the fridge for too long. In addition, my friend who is vegetarian and often the foods don't have name/ingrediant tags to them, it's like guessing game to see which one is vegetarian dish.

The pool was excellent and the staff was outstanding. The breakfast included everything we needed and the properly location was fantastic. A big thank you to Bruno for his attention to detail making us drinks...very friendly!

We were on the 10th floor, underneath the restaurant and kitchen and it was very noisy between 11 and 1 am whilst they were clearing up in the evening.

Very disappointing was fact that no any beverages were included in a dinner, even a glass of water. No any shampoo and lotion in a shower room! In a shower - hand wash soap and near the sink - the same.

Reception staff less than cordial; seem put out with questions, and concerns. Difficult to find hotel.

A great location overlooking Funchal and the coastline. Breakfast was very good with a very diverse selection. Concierge was very nice and helpful.

Pillows were a little high for my liking. Room was a little dated however well maintained and clean.

Breakfast was good. They should have an extra omlette station setup as it was busy in the mornings.

They provide you with the pool towels once, and you need to bring them to the checkout. One more thing the elevator was a bit old and slow can handle max of 4 people at a time, which lead to spend 15 min on average from/to the reception during breakfast and dinner..

The view from the room (for the sea view) is breath taking. The room was nice and clean. Highly recommended.

Some people may find the walk uphill from the town centre a bit tough in the heat however we didn't mind this and taxis are not too expensive so that would be an alternative option.

The hotel had stunning views and the room was amazing! Breakfast was buffet style with a good variety of options. Dinner in the restaurant was very nice too .The pool also is in a beautiful setting , really feels like paradise! Staff very very friendly and helpful. I would go back in a heartbeat!

The room was dusty and there were no nice amenities. Just soap and nothing else. Not what you would expect from a 4 star hotel.

The hotel has indeed amazing views. We stayed in a studio and the room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. Wi-Fi worked great. Breakfast buffet had a lot of variety and food was delicious. There is a spa with and interior swimming pool and also and outdoor swimming pool. Both are biggish and very well done

Location within a 20min walking distance to centre, staff very helpful and informative. Clean, modern rooms. Excellent facilities. As the name suggests the views were stunning! Definitely recommend for the perfect getaway

Amazing views from the restourant and the pool

Our room was relatively noisy, the street sounds were too clearly audible. The balcony door was not well sealed. Also, we weren’t informed that reservations for the breakfast (and dinner) are possible and it turned out that all nice spots with a view were reserved for extra money with individual service though there’s a buffet. This made us feel treated like 2nd class customers without being even informed, which is not nice at this rate. We wanted to order room service food at 9pm (it is until 9) because we went for the sunset which is at 8:30, but we were denied after 8:45, as the kitchen closes earlier. So, the flexibility for customers was limited. Also, the indoor pool and spa area isn’t included in the price if you stay less than 5 nights.

The views are amazing. Nice lobby and pool as well as restaurant.

If I could give any advice to improve it would be to update the rooms showers (they’re fine just not the most modern), and to give shampoo and conditioner instead of just the standard shampoo/body wash (although more expensive rooms may come with this, we just had a standard). You also have to pay extra to use the indoor pool and gym, which we didn’t know before coming, so be aware of that. If you’re coming with older/ less physically able people also be aware it’s on top of a hill so walking around is a bit tough but all of Funchal is hilly which the hotel can’t help.

The pool was absolutely amazing. The staff were unbelievably friendly and helpful. The pool was really nice, with great views, and really clean. The pool bar food and drinks were really nice and cheap enough considering its in a hotel. They also have a happy hour which makes them very cheap! The breakfast was the best we’ve had at any hotel anywhere. The selection is absolutely huge and everything really tasty. There was even complimentary champagne. Hotel was very clean and modern. The evening indoor bar has a great selection of drinks and does live music which was really nice. The views of course are amazing. Even our standard room came with a balcony! It’s been one of our favorite stays ever. If anyone was coming to Funchal I would reccomend this hotel.
