Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

GermanyEduardo was a very good host, one of the best we've ever had. He was very friendly, happy, relaxed, accommodating and try to fulfill us every wish. We shared a kitchen and he refills everything we liked and eat daily. We had a beautiful view from the balcony. It was a very nice stay and we were a little sad to leave. Thank you for the experience and the mindfulness input and the opportunity to calm down.

Wonderful stay. The host – Eduardo is very friendly and outspoken. He took great care of us always asking if we needed something. Knows a lot about places to see in Madeira. The room was comfortable with a fantastic balcony view (our favourite thing, evenings on the balcony with a glass of wine). The room looked much better than in the pictures. There was a variety of produce provided for breakfast all fresh and delicious.

He picked up us at the airport when our flight was late at night and he does his best for his guests. The house is really comfortable, we had everything to need. And we felt like being at home, we were happy here. I recommend much this accommodation..

Czech RepublicOriginally I was afraid to park on the street before the house but quickly learned it is a common practice in Madeira.
The accommodation is a room with a shower and closet in a regular house and it is only the host living there. The kitchen and dining area can be used by the guests, therefore kind of a B&B style accommodation. The host provides the kitchen with food for self-service breakfasts. There was fruit, yogurts, bread, tee, Nespresso coffee machine. Dining hall has great sea view as well as the room. The bedroom is simply equipped but for our stay where we only spent the nights and enjoyed the view and silence in the mornings and evenings was just fine. In addition, the host is a warmhearted person, always helpful and even woke up early morning (2 a.m.) to welcome us and give us the keys from the room)! He offers sound therapy sessions and did us one for free and gave us small presents. Never felt more welcome anywhere and was unforgettable. Thank you!

Czech RepublicDefinitely highly recommend this place. we had amazing stay at Eduardo’ place. he is very kind and always available if we need anything. the room and the whole house was very nice and clean. the view from the balcony was amazing. He made us feel like at home. we were also happy with the breakfast. every morning we could choose from several types of fresh fruits, vegetables, yogurts, nuts, make egss etc etc. and great coffee of course. also the location was great. it is basically in the middle of the island so it was very easy to get to all places we wanted to visit.
