Everything about our stay was exceptional. The staff are very friendly and helpful. If it was not for Melissa at reception we would have been stranded as busses had been cancelled the day we were due to leave. Melissa helped us look up alternatives and for the best prices. She was truly very helpful. The food was fresh, great variety and delicious. We loved our stay and would highly recommend staying here.

The setting is amazing but there is a very steep road up to the property and the parking is tricky. The rooms are scattered around the property so you are walking up and down steps to get around.

The experience was wonderful. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was delicious with breakfast cooked to order. The rooms have amazing views. Would definitely stay again.

This was truly one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever stayed. We got a free upgrade to one of the villas and the view was absolutely breathtaking from our room. We sat in the window seat looking out over the sea for hours. Socalco nature is luxurious but friendly and welcoming. The restaurant is delicious too, the chef and owner cooks personalised menus. I highly recommend coming here if you are staying in Madeira!

Toiletries were too minimal there was no lotion, hair conditioner or slippers. The parking is nerve racking and not very well designed unless you’re in a tiny fiat.

The location and its surroundings are absolutely stunning, the modern, clean room design is gorgeous, and the breakfast and restaurant are an absolute treat. Consider dining or waking up to the view of the Atlantic Ocean 300 feet below, and a small creek or waterfall running just outside of your room along your private garden or patio. It's not a dream, it's reality.

The hotel, restaurant and staff are wonderful! The rooms are very clean, light and spatious. Breakfast was delicious, as is the food when you decide to eat in the restaurant. Staff is super kind and always available in case of questions, English is perfect. The domain has a lookout over the bay and beach of Calheta, which makes up for a very nice view while eating, sunbathing or swimming on the terrace.

There are 2 small parking lots, but still parking was difficult (little room to maneuver uphill and downhill). There may not be enough spaces when they are fully booked.

- Very good airconditioning in room, it does not make any noise. - Nice ocean view, from terrace and our room. - Very good breakfast. Would have expected more variation in choices ( pancakes or French toast instead of every day banana cake). - Very good diner options (also vegetarian or vegan) surprise menu with fresh ingredients.

Our only comment is that it would have been nice to have a few shady areas to sit with comfortable chairs. Small parasols were available over a few sunbeds but did not provide sufficient shade. Also they were insufficient for the number of rooms.

Stunning location especially the restaurant/breakfast patio overlooking the coast. Food was excellent, freshly baked bread every day, good breakfasts. We had a 3 course dinner every evening and enjoyed them all, the food was freshly cooked and served with an array of fresh vegetables. The whole place was super clean and very well kept. All the staff were friendly and welcoming.

Truly cannot recommend this hotel more. The location, the property, the restaurant, the staff are literally all amazing. We had the most amazing meals at their restaurant, including the best homemade bread I’ve ever had in my life. Hopefully we will be back one day, 10/10 for sure!
