Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

RomaniaThe tents are very close one to another. Although there is a fireplace, we would get only 4-5 small pieces of wood in a day that last about half an hour. The kitchen is well equipped, but we have only got two coffee pods for the whole stay. We would have appreciated if we had coffee pods for the entire stay.
The location and the view is superb. Also the jacuzzi is perfect after a hiking and walking day.

GermanyThere was a construction site across the street that had not been mentioned before, which made it difficult to relax during the day due to the noise.
I had an amazing time at Germanas beautiful home and would love to visit again in the future. The tents are in a beautiful setting overlooking the south coast and surrounding farmland. Really a place where you can relax and connect with nature. The whirlpool was definitely the highlight of the accomodation, especially after longs days of hiking.

Such a hidden gem on the already beautiful Island Madeira. It’s a big tent, but felt like a tiny studio/apartment. Very beautifully and tasteful decorated and everything was there. You can get into your private jacuzzi after a nice hiking on the island.

ItalyThere is nothing I didn’t like about this property. I would go back now if I could! (Only one thing to mention there is no hairdryer but I’m sure if you ask the owner she will support you with that)
We opted for the smaller tent with outside bathroom as the others were not available. I’m all about nature but my boyfriend was more worried about having an outside toilet. It turned out that once we moved into an apartment for our second half of the journey in Madeira, we both missed a lot the Soul glamping vibe. The owner is a amazing and she has been so helpful since day 1 with suggestions and general support on the island. The tent really has everything you need: bed is comfortable, a tv, towels and a lovely small table to put your items. In addition to that you get an outside space to watch the sunset which is stunning and your own fridge in the kitchen area in case you need to store food. If you are really reluctant to use the outside toilet/shower (which is AMAZING!) there is a shared one which is really clean too.

United StatesNo complaints we would go back and recommend others to try here as well.
My husband and i stayed here over Thanksgiving and we loved it. It's so quiet and pretty and Germana is such a sweet person. My favorite parts were the hot tub which we utilized every night we were there and the delicious breakfast that was dropped off to our door every morning. There's parking for soul glamping and we never had an issue with finding a space, prazeres/calheta is a bit out of the way so a car would be very useful for this area and you are quite far about an hour for the bigger hikes like pico ruvio which I would suggest basing yourself closer to funchal or maybe splitting your trip into two parts because this area is great to stay in!

GermanyThe accommodation was a dream. Incredibly beautiful with a lot of attention to detail. We stayed the first nights in the tent, which was so beautiful. It was worth it to book the accommodation. Everybody super welcoming, friendly and it was absolutely perfect. We were also able to change one night and were in the big tent with Jacuzzi, which was really great. We would come back anytime.

NetherlandsThe pictures on booking were a litte misleading, we thought we were staying in a dome with a jacuzzi but we ended up in a tent. (The tent was beatutiful anyways, but no jacuzzi.) We didn’t had a car and because the hill is so steep we weren’t that free to move. (The host helped us so credits to her)
The environment was perfect, in the middle of nowhere where you can relax. The looks were amazing, the outside bathroom was a whole new experience for us.

GermanyNothing really - just be aware that you definitely require a car as I wouldnt recommend to walk up the steep hill :-)
Super nice and caring host with love for details that make the experience at Soul Glamping even more unique. The glamping tent had everything that you can wish for, the whirlpool and the view to the sea were amazing. We will come back :-)

GermanyThe advertisement was very misleading. All the photos only showed the larger "luxury" tents with private kitchen and jacuzzi. The basic tents have none of that, but that was not at all apparent from the booking. Instead they sent me a message after booking that many guests are "confused" about the tents, so I assume it is clearly intentional. The basic tent was way overpriced for what was delivered. Our "basic" tent neighbours were equally disappointed. I can see they added photos of the basic tents now, but that was not the case when we were booking.
Beautiful view to the sea and coast from the top of the village. Our host Germana was very friendly and helpful. Everything was clean.
