Clean rooms and very friendly staff. Ideal choice if you have a car and would prefer to park outside of the city centre. There is a bus stop right in front of the hotel and an Uber/Bolt costs 5€ to the centre.

It was a little far out from city centre. hairdryer didn’t always work, only two usb plugs in room so not able to use hair straighteners- however these were only little problems. We didn’t have good

Nice orange decor, very friendly staff, very good value for money. Bus stop right outside the hotel, clean and comfortable, very quiet at night. Vending machines available, taxi booking service and details for sight seeing bus. Staff very helpful in explaining how to get the bus into town and provided face masks. Wi-Fi service was very good. We didn’t have food during our stay but looked like a good variety for breakfast each morning. mc Donald’s, Burger King and dominoes also a short walk away.

AC!!!! Arrived late and tired. AC was barely blowing any air out, and we were too tired to go to the reception and ask for another room, thinking we'll survive the night by opening a window. They had thick winter covers so we decided no to use the covers...until we were woken up by mosquitos. Barely had any sleep, and somehow managed to survive the night boiling under the covers. Reported the AC not working in the morning, they managed to fix it, but it was still bad. Found where the remaining mosquito was hiding, got rid of him/her and had a somewhat good night sleep. AC was working, but barely. Might suffice if you're not visiting in the summer, but the AC is not up to task (standard) during summer.

On this occasion whoever cleaned my room forgot to leave any toiletries, but everything else was OK. The Star doesn't have a restaurant for dinner, but a canteen used for breakfast. The only general complaint I would have about the Star is that there are quite bad spillages on the corridor carpets on a couple of floors that could be paint and tend to make the place look a bit tatty. I consider these to be maintenance rather than cleanliness issues. If they are not paint they should be cleaned. There are also other small maintenance issues in the rooms and common areas. Basically whoever is responsible for repairs isn't very good.

I have stayed at the Star before so I know what to expect. The rooms are practical, the "optional extra" breakfast is a great value buffet and the staff are all helpful and friendly. Car parking is great, as is the wi-fi. I have walked on a couple of occasions from the hotel to the centre of Portugal and even on to Gaia (It takes 45 minutes or so) although I suspect most people would opt for an Uber or the bus, which stops right outside. here are a number of good restaurants within walking distance too. The airport is really convenient.

In this extreme heat without air-conditioning is just bad 👎, the curtain and floor were very dusty and room was smelly as cigarette smoke. The dog costs is €20/pn (just a small dog). It is not a big variety of food for breakfast.

The room on 1st floor pretty closer to the staircase. As I had my dog with me because of the Porto Dog Show. The room location facilitated a lot our trips outside.

The staff are very friendly. Unfortunately I didn't memorise the names. But special Thank You to the brazilian gentleman for making possible our stay with our dog there. Also to the gentleman that recommended us the Best Places to eat Francesinha. Highly recommended Café Santiago & last but not least the Manager Paulo.

No bottle water in the room, I missed the small fridge hotels usually have. The amenities are not many, small bar and hanging area. The elevators were very small for such a big hotel, to much waiting for an empty one if u don't want to be in it to close to strangers, few COVID-19 safety measures. Breakfast there's is variety but not great. Not many warm foods, just scrambled eggs and toast. Cereals and pastries, not much healthier options other than cereal. Some fruit. Coffee, as in almost any hotel: awful.

I liked that they allowed pets. Also, the hotel staff and service was nice and accommodating to our needs. Location was close to the major highway, very close to Porto city and airport in a very quiet street with plenty of space to walk your dog.

We were looking for a hotel outside of Porto city center to spent one night in after a long flight and before embarking on a long trip through Portugal. Star Inn Porto fulfilled all of our expectations (which, granted, were not high) and then some. The facilities were meticulously clean, if a bit shabby in places. The staff (especially the receptionist, Monica) were most helpful. We opted not to have breakfast at the hotel in favour of moving along as soon as possible, so cannot assess that. The private parking was very nice and practically located.
