The closet doors couldn't be closed properly and for lunch/dinner for the price of 19 euros we think the drinks should be included (some juices at least).

The pools, jacuzzi, gym and sauna were all included in the price and they weren't crowdy. The breakfast options were superb (multiple fruits, decrusted bread, toaster, cereal station and so on). We also had an upgrade to a suite which was a really pleasant surprise (just don't expect the staff to wash your dishes). The view to the inner coourtyard where the pools were was also really nice, like a private jungle.

Dint accept amex credit card When my shower was broken I wasn't allowed to change room need the wait until the shower was fixed. That took like 30 - 45 min and I needed to rush because of an appointment.

The hotel it is quite old, during the renovation. Lack of indoor public showers and we have kitchen in the room with pots etc, but without electric kettle.

Tea bags at breakfast very poor quality. Lighting in kitchenette area could be brighter.

Had suite on the 6th floor overlooking the pool and the hills. Spacious with a separate sitting area and well equipped kitchenette with a full size fridge. Both doors opened out onto balcony and no noise so able to leave doors open at night. Overlooking the gardens which were immaculately kept, with sun on pool area most of day. Used both the indoor and outdoor pools, towels provided with card system. Good breakfast buffet with everything you could want from 0730 - 1000hrs. Kept well replenished by attentive staff. Good area with shopping centre next door and plenty of restaurants nearby. Bus stops to airport and Funchal centre across the road and access to promenade walk just down the hill.

- We were here two times and both times we had dusty floor in the room. Like black feet dusty. I don't understand how that's possible. - For the first time, our room had balcony to the street and we kept it closed because of noise and car exhaustion gases. - The sofa really isn't convenient for sleeping. - No washing machine in the apartment - Higher floors didn't have good tap water pressure

Good breakfast, good dinner(really worth the price), good facilities(swimming pool, big room, good bathroom). No problem to print flight tickets on the reception. We were here two times, second time the room had nice view(to block insides)

The youngest guy at the reception was very abrupt and rude at check in. Quite dilapidated from the outside and doesn't look like a 4*. We were on the ground floor and near the lift so very noisy.

Hotel location and the wiev from 10th floor suite was amazing. Our suite had a small kitchenette. A few things we missed in it are a cattle and deeper bowls. The apartment is big, on the quiet side of the building. The pool was good too. Didn't try to eat at the restaurant.

I would like to have MORE vegetarian options in the buffet. quality of juice was awful, it's not a fruit drink, it's shame. There was also weird rule about what king of cloth is acceptable in the hotel and with is not.

I liked location, there are many good restaurants around. I liked big swimming pool and buffet was included in price.

Bed was very firm. Parts of the hotel very dated. Staff nice without being friendly. Lots of traffic noise.

Nice to stay out of main Funchal. Good amenities nearby. Indoor and outdoor pool. Good size room and two-sided balcony.
