We had such a pleasant stay! They kitchen is very well equipped with fresh eggs daily to use, the beds are super comfortable, the rooftop is nice, we were able to wash our clothes, the bathrooms have really good water pressure and the house is super clean! There is no more we would wish for. We would come back anytime!

The doors on the bedrooms are extremely loud - need some rubber around the frames to stop people slamming them

The views are INCREDIBLE from the wrap around porch on the second level and the rooftop terrace, so plan to be at the house for sunset sometimes. The price is extremely affordable compared to other places on the island, and it is convenient with easily accessible parking along the street. They have eggs from the chickens on the property available for guests, and the kitchen for guests is large with a fridge and has items available for cooking. Oh, and the owners are extremely friendly and helpful; they give great advice about adventuring on the island.

This accommodation is off the beaten path so you really do need a car as taxis don’t work here and there is no public transport and even the closest amenities are a (quite tiring!) walk away.

The owners are excellent hosts, they are very helpful and ready to meet your needs at a moment’s notice! We had a fantastic stay here to remember! The location is secluded and has a very peaceful feel if you are looking for a quiet stay.

Location was great. A very quiet, clean and cozy house with stunning views over Arco da Calheta. A long terrace on each floor. There is also a veg garden and we were given avocado and some local fruits. The hosts were professional and very kind. Renting a car is definitely recommended when visiting Madeira. The island exceeded my expectations. Beautiful place and beautiful people. We would love to come back.

The location if you travel with car is best, the view is incredible ❤️ The hosta are very nice and helpful. Housenis very calm & peaceful. Kitchen is well-equiped and hosts even offer some products from their garden ^^ Highly recommend if you don’t mind not having the private bathroom. Thank you guys and best of luck!

Very nice and clean house with everything you need. The bathrooms are shared but they were cleaned every day and I was truly amazed by the level of cleanliness. The owners are super nice and helpful. The sunsets are just wonderful. The surrounding area is so calm. You can park your car in garage. I can really recommend this accommodation. :)

Sunset House was the perfect place to stay for us on Madeira. The views in the evening are amazing, and waking up with the view to the ocean is equally impressive. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful throughout our stay and gave us great advice about what to see on the island. The rooms and common areas are very spacious, and cooking dinner and enjoying it on the balcony made us feel right at home. The shared bathrooms were no problem at any point, since there are 2 and only a few rooms. Thanks for this wonderful experience!

the only small minus is that there is shared bathroom (2 bathrooms for 4 rooms), but it was ok.

the owner was so nice, talking about his garden, we enjoyed the wonderful view from the top terrace, room was nice, clean, we could use the kitchen where we also had eggs from the owners hens available.
