The hosts were friendly and helpful. Breakfast on the verandah was lovely, delicious food and delightful views. Everything had been thought about, from the honesty bar to a list of recommended restaurants to try. Conveniently located for access to the town, train and bus stations.

The entrance to one of the hotel rooms (room number 8) is acually outside the main hotel. This room only has small upper windows and unfortunately is not what we expected. When I booked through Booking.com, I chose a room with a terrace. If I was to book this hotel, I would call and book directy through the hotel to ensure you are reserving the type of room you want.

This small hotel is lovely. The breakfast was delicious and the breakfast room has a beautiful view over Tavira. The staff were extrememly accommodating and friendly. Two rooms have balconies and two rooms have terraces. If these are important features for you, I would call the hotel directly to ensure you have the type of room you want.

The mattresses in our room were of memory foam type and showed signs of wear when lying on them - felt like you were tipping to one side. I’m sure the owners will attend to this.

Super location overlooking Tavira with lovely views down to the river. Beautiful public spaces where guests could relax and unwind. The staff were very welcoming, informative and friendly

Although keys were provided for our room, I didn’t feel like our room was as secure as I would have liked. We carried our passports with us as there was no safe provided.

Breakfast was delicious and was good variation from day to day, well presented. The hosts were very helpful in providing information. We loved sitting on our deck in the morning and in the evenings for happy hour.

Lovely, small place, seven rooms. Very enjoyable breakfast on the terrace. Great view of town below. Simple 10 minute walk to the town down a number of steps. The place had a real cosy charm. I would recommend Tavira Terrace without reservation.

Lovely quiet location. The very occasional rumble of a slow train just added to the charm. Exceptional staff and very nice breakfast. The communal areas, lounge and games room plus outside terrace and pool are really lovely.

Access to town by a steep stairway that we just managed, if we return to Tavira would happily stay here again.

If you are not driving to this propety or taking an Uber there are stairs to climb from the street level to get here. I didn’t have any issues as I travelled with less luggage and love walking but this may be an issue for people with more luggage or people who don’t enjoy walking and climbing some stairs.

My stay at Tavira Terrace was amazing. From the moment I walked in ( and was served a welcome drink) to the moment I checked out I felt very much taken care of. The staff at this property are extremely pleasant to deal with and went out of their way to provide tips, restaurant recommendations and others points of interest. I really enjoyed breakfast on the terrace every morning and being able to use the common spaces of the propety. There is a pool table on the lower level which guests can use free of charge, an honesty bar ( grab a drink and pay at time of checkout) books to read, an amazing pool with loungers and just a great place to hang out and relax. I will definitely be recommending Tavira Terrace to family and friends if they are ever visiting Tavira and I look forward to visiting again myself.

The atmosphere and friendliness of the staff, the welcome drink is a lovely touch, very dog friendly, the games room with the substantial honesty bar was great, eating breakfast on the terrace is always a pleasure, and the views over the city were fantastic

The lady that did the check-in, Manuela, is absolutely wonderful. She is very professional, very helpful, superfriendly, gives great advice and made us feel real welcome. Our room was very nice and clean and had a great view, breakfast was served on the terrace and was very good too.

Tavira is a lovely seaside town. We chose to stay last minute and couldn’t have been happier. The village is located up on a hill and requires some walking and steps into town and back. It was a manageable walk or you could drive and find public parking for free down the hill. Manuela was a wonderful hostess and she served an incredible breakfast every morning. Tavira is definitely on our list of repeat visits.

Staff were very helpful and friendly and were very supportive of my efforts to speak Portuguese which I am learning. Breakfast was lovely on the terrace. Very peaceful place to stay and just a quick drive down the hill to the centre of Tavira.
