How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

the best Hotel in Evora, super nice staff, great tasty free breakfast. very clean room including free mineral water, free expresso and tea in the room. Hotel very centrally within walking distance, only 6 minutes on foot from free public parking place. every thing top 10

There's quite a bit of traffic in the street, so it can get noisy. Bring earplugs if you are a difficult sleeper.
The bright and spacious room, the very friendly, the delicious breakfast.

I can't remember any single thing that I didn't like in the hotel.
This was the best hotel experience in Portugal. The location is excellent. The rooms are big and decorated in a beautiful way. It was so comfy and cozy I did not want to leave the room. Breakfast was really good. On my first day, I was alone in a hotel and in the morning they got my table ready in advance. That was so nice gesture. They are friendly and helpful. The hotel has lovely small library and terrace with nice views. Oh, I forgot to mention little coffee machine in a room with one of the most tasty coffee capsules ever.

The staff was incredibly nice and made us feel really welcome. The room was stunning and the bed super comfy. We were catching a train and had to wolf down breakfast, but we wished we'd had time to linger. The location is fantastic; close to all the major sights. We so enjoyed our stay, we only wish it had been longer.

The staff were very helpful and welcoming. They were happy to suggest local restaurants and would follow up with making reservations. The hotel is in a great location for exploring Evora and the breakfasts included were a great start to the day.

The external stone steps to the room were worn and uneven in places which could be a problem for less mobile guests, but added character!
Great location close to the centre and many important sites of interest. The room was immaculate and clean. TV had netflix! Staff friendly and helpful. Very good breakfast with a range of cereals, breads, fruit and eggs and bacon.

Not a whole lot.
Great location. We walked to all the attractions. We parked outside the wall in the Estacionamiento and walked into the hotel; it was a bit of a walk but we only packed for an overnight. Awesome breakfast and wonderful staff. I would stay again.

The communal lounge area was not cleaned regularly.
A great location near to roman ruins and main cathedral. Staff were able to recommend and book an excellent local restaurant. INice sized room and good breakfast.

Room not so clean, we found hair and dust on the floor. Furthermore, walls and parts of the ceiling in the bedroom and bathroom were moldy.
Great location, close to historical monuments and super central. Welcoming and polite service. Large and organized room. Delicious breakfast.

Parking is tricky, but this is a reality in an ancient city like Evora. Safe and free parking was available a 10 minute walk away
Amazing location in the centre of Evora. Staff were helpful, and the breakfast was good. The room was large and comfortable

Can’t think of anything, it was all good.
This was a lovely little hotel that was easy to find and drive to with parking not too far away. The room was nice and the reception people were helpful. It was well located and an easy walk to everything we wanted on our one night in Évora.

Very convenient location, close to many sites of interest! Staff was welcoming and very helpful. Rooftop terrace was a great place to enjoy the view at sunset. And the breakfast was great!
