How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

It is a great establishment. There is nothing that I did not like
I loved the staffs ability to speak English. I did not bring a plug adapter for charging my phone, and they were very helpful. I locked the safe in my room before entering the new code to set it, and they helped me immediately. They welcomed me in the mornings and have warm smiles. Also, the included breakfast is delicious, and they plate it well, so it's very fancy. Unfortunately I forgot to take more pictures of the hotel! Thank you for having me.

Could have bit more storage places in bathroom for tooth brushes, shavers, bottles, etc.
Nice breakfast served to the table which was nice. Check in check out very smooth and lovely receptionists. Room small but very adequate. Staff very helpful.

Room was very small, making it awkward to access the closet and refrigerator. Immediate neighbourhood has limited options for eating; metro is bit of a walk for those who are no longer young.
Staff were very friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was exceptional. Facility is modern and clean. Bed was large and comfortable (although room was small).

There was nothing I didn't like
I found the staff very welcoming and very helpful. The hotel is well designed.. No bar or restaurant but there is one next door around the corner which was good. Bus outside restaurant to downtown. Breakfast good.

The room we stayed in was quite small and had a window to an interior yard, so there was so natural lighting. For someone who doesn't know Lisbon at all, the way to the hotel could be a little confusing, but overall it isn't far from the center.
Beautiful, clean hotel, with a good location and lots of restaurants near it! I love that they are environmentally friendly and the green decor was beautiful! We received 2 pasteis de nata when we arrived! The staff is very friendly and approachable. The bed linen and towels were changed everyday, which is very appreciated. The breakfast at this hotel was the best we have ever tried anywhere, it was a pleasure to wake up early to eat such a complete meal! It was a perfect experience!

Toilet paper holder was broken on the wall. No wash cloths. Room is small but comfortable. They were out of city maps.

Very good breakfast which, unlike the self-service method that most small hotels use, is served to you at your table. Good location which is about a 20 minute walk to the centre or you can take the bus or the nearby metro. Although our room was small, everything about it was perfect and it was spotlessly clean. The staff were very attentive, friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

Not located in the most central part of Lisbon but ubers are cheap so it was easy to get around

The standard room was very tiny. I might not have paid enough attention to the room dimensions when I booked the hotel room. I recommend getting something bigger as it was a bit difficult to get around the room with two people.
The staff were very friendly and attentive to our requests. Shout out to Miela/Mila as she took great care of us and even arranged a to go breakfast box for us on our departure date since we had an early flight out! Location was good and breakfast was good!
