Honestly there was nothing negative about our stay here other than the unseasonably mild weather!

Set in a great location in the Marina, close to all the restaurants and bars, the staff were all really helpful and friendly including the room cleaners, definitely felt that nothing was too much trouble and they all smiled.

Service in the argo bar was poor. There were 7 of us ordering drinks at 6pm waited on by what appeared to be the head waiter - we ordered, at his suggestion, some of the house special cocktails, glass of wine, beer and a coke. We waited over 40 minutes for them to arrive (without peanuts - which were previously offered at every order) and one drink didn't materialise at all!! We even had to call the restaurant to delay our table reservation!!! We felt this was due to the fact that there was a very large conference being held at the hotel and the staff were overwhelmed with the amount of people. This is our fourth time of staying at the Tivoli at this time of year and have always chosen it for its outstanding service and pure luxury - however we shall now double check if our booking coincides with a conference being held at the same time. On other occasions at the argo bar, we felt service was below that of previous visits and resulted in long waits and feeling of being ignored.

Reception staff and doormen are always very polite, professional and friendly, as are the housekeeping staff. Great size room and bathroom. Excellent choice at breakfast.

1. The bathroom door of room 627 scrapes the floor. 2. The balcony door edges were making an annoying noise even if they weren't being touched. I believe it was due to the wind (they didn't make the noise when it wasn't windy), but regardless, it gotta be fixed. 3. Why is there no iron in the rooms?

You are not made aware of how loud a Marina view room will be until 3am in the morning. The lift service was outdated, and i got hit by the heavy door lift every time we used these. The bathroom is not 5 stars, and although the room is very tasteful, the facilities of the room are not 5 stars. The bed and pillows are extremely soft and uncomfortable. The exit barriers also do not work often when in a car trying to get out. Our cabs were often stuck there for 5/10 minutes trying to leave. The spa area is just a pool with no other facilities unless you get a treatment.

The communal facilities were great. Pool area, lobby, bars, and restaurants. The view was very special of the Marina too. The staff were all very helpful and friendly and the spa treatments were very relaxing.

Location was spot on and right in the marina where we wanted to be. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They even valet parked our car! Just stayed one night as we were exploring the area but all was very satisfactory.

Minor quibbles only. There is a Nespresso machine in the bedroom (which is great), but I only discovered afterwards there's a €2 charge. This shouldn't be necessary. I feel the shower could benefit from a grab rail - it was a bit slippy when wet - I had to put down a towel for my elder companion to stand on.

This is a fantastic hotel, with brilliant staff. Nothing was too much trouble. I was travelling with a very elderly relative and everyone was very helpful. The room was spacious and comfortable. We had a 'marina' view which meant it was a little noisy at night (but that's hardly the hotel's fault). Would book sea view next time. Lovely range of toiletries and very fluffy bathrobe and slippers. Breakfast was perfect, except for the coffee I'm afraid. Sunbeds were plentiful and prices were as expected for a 5*.

Being a captive to Bookings. Com is crappy. You should remove your hotel from this difficult partner.

Check in and confusion as booked 2x double rooms but the package only included 1x breakfast package ….had to pay extra breakfast and then mess up with charges to room and prepayment 200euros to cover ….. all unnecessary aspects that could have been avoided with more clarity at the time of booking with Booking.com…..made it feel like a low initial cost to get you to book and standard stuff as extra once you check in

I didn't like the fact I had to call reception for some milk for my coffee in my room and got charged €3.50, when all I wanted was some milk sachets which I thought was all free
