Great location away from the hustle and bustle of the city, amazing view from the balcony, very nice and cozy apartment equipped with everything you need. But these are only material things. The most important are the people who created this place. Carlos and Idalina are the best hosts you can imagine. Very friendly and hospitable, always helpful and caring. When we left, we felt like we were leaving a friend or relative, not a person we had met a few days before. Thank you Carlos and Idalina for an unforgettable stay! We have returned to the Top View a year later after our first trip to Madeira, and it was great. Carlos and his wife make sure you feel right at home, and they are so helpful! The view still is great, and you get everything you’d need in the apartment. For sure we will return during our next visit to the island. BIG RECOMMENDATION!

Beautiful property with a view of the ocean. Set in the mountains away from the city - great get away. The apartment is huge and has everything you would need. The hosts Carlos and his wife were incredible and couldn’t do more to help us with our stay and recommend places of interest.

It was not our problem, but you must realize before choosing locations like this one that most of the small roads & streets of Madeira may be difficult for a non-experienced driver. If you cannot drive a manual car, you should be renting a very good automatic.

Unbeatable value-for-money. If you are into traveling around the island with a rented car (especially into the mountains) and you prime functional accommodation with a more than reasonable price, this is it. Put that together with two of the most friendly, atentive, and accommodating hosts I have ever met, and you get a picture of what waits for you if you book this place.

One of the rooms smelled a little musty, but it aired out well with the door and windows open for a little while.

The hosts were very welcoming and friendly. They provided a couple eggs and some fresh fruit from their garden, and were great to talk with and ask questions about the area. The apartment was spacious and had a gorgeous view! I would definitely recommend staying.

Verry nice place to stay in Madeira, the appartment was comfortable, clean and had a nice balcony. Everything looks like in the pictures. Carlos is a nice host and he gave us suggestions for levada walks.

The host was really very nice, talkative, helpful and friendly. The apartment was clean, kitchen had everything what you might need. We got some home-grown eggs and fruits from the host. There was also top view from Top View. I could definitely recommend the accommodation!

The owners are so friendly people. We felt immediately like at home. The place has spectaculars views and you have the whole floor for you. Carlos left us some fruit from his garden and egs. Unfortunately (for us) his place is very popular and it was booked, if not, we would definitely stay longer.

Apartament was really big and well equipped (tableware, pots, laundry machine, laundry dryer etc.), good wifi, small terrace with the view of the village and the ocean. There is a small parking place too. The owner is very friendly and helpfull, he can advise you about the places to see around the island.

road was under construction and after 8 you don’t have anywhere to eat for miles and miles. wouldn’t recommend it without a car
