There is really nothing to complain about - there is no parking but the staff will valet the car to a nearby garage, which only takes 10 minutes. The breakfast was lovely and made us want to try to restaurant 'Blind' but we didn't have enough time.

The full package - great location, beautifully restored building, spacious rooms with cool interior design, friendly staff and great breakfast.

We only had one night at The Torel Palace but it was memorable. We were upgraded to a suite which was huge and the staff went out of their way to be helpful in every aspect (including an early check in and baggage storage because we had a late flight home). The breakfast buffet was amazing and even included a fresh honeycomb with the honey dripping into a pot. There were bathrobes, slippers and a turndown service and the hotel was decorated beautifully on a theme of Portoguese authors. The beds were massive and very comfortable, the shower a good pressure and the hotel itself really central in Porto. Thank you for making our short stay so lovely.

The ensuite in the room could take 5 minutes to get hot, limited choice of food if you were sat by the pool from the restaurant.

The hotel is a beautiful, it has kept many features of the original building whilst subtly modernising the interior. Spacious rooms, with great facilities.

The hot/cooked element of the breakfast could have been warmer.

Excellent staff who could not do enough to help and made some great recommendations for dinner. Hotel is beautifully designed around the original building, is well located and is quiet at night. Beautiful room with comfortable bed and linens.

The pool is there but small, and has little sun and you swim right up to any guest eating, so not perfect for a morning swim. The romantic atmosphere sometime is at the cost of comfort such as taps that were broken, curtains in bathroom entrance i.s.o. a door etc.

The hotel has a great atmosphere themed around Portugese writers, very well decorated and brings you straight into a a city holiday mood. The team is very helpful and friendly, although many trainees are not always effective. They do make you feel really welcome however, it really creates a warm and romantic atmosphere. The breakfast was excellent, and the best scrambled eggs in many years traveling.

Torel Palace is truly a magnificent hotel. My room was beautiful, spacious and comfortable. The staff were incredibly courteous. Property is well maintained and very original. I loved the library. The location can’t be beat- very easy to walk all around Porto

Lovely, boutique hotel that is in the heart of Porto. we were offered a delicious glass of Port wine during our check-in. Warm and welcoming staff. Variety of foods offered each morning in the Blind Restaurant. Highly recommend for your stay.
