We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

BelgiumThe road in front of the hotel is quite busy, but luckily with the window closed, there was not too much noise.
Very friendly and helpful staff, great breakfast, comfortable and clean room with balcony and sea view. Free private parking at the hotel. Several beaches nearby (for ex. praia Eulalia), but also beautiful beaches only 30 min. by car (praia falésia and praia marinha). Air-conditioning in the room and free wifi worked very well.

PortugalWe asked for the contents of the minibar to be taken off as we didn’t want to share our credit card details, but when arrived to the room they were still in there. Later on someone from the service entered in our room without knocking in order to remove them. I found very disturbing as we were inside the room Also our cards stopped working after one night - I understand mistakes happen but service could be improved by paying attention to these details

After our stay at the Velamar i can say that it is the best hotel i have stayed at in a long time, the rooms are a good size and the whole place has had a recent refirb. The food at breakfast is fantastic and has a great range of hot and cold food. my wife is gluton intolerant and the manager had the gluton free bread for her by the next day. how is that for service ? a special thanks to all the staff who are amazing

United KingdomQuiet location, ample car parking, 10 minute walk to the nearest beach and a 15 minute drive to the old town. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The bedroom was spacious with a very comfortable bed and balcony. Spacious bathroom also with a good shower. We didn't use the pool due to the time of year. Impressive go-green measures in place with a £5 per day voucher to spend at the hotel bar offered for not having the room cleaned. We would certainly visit again.
