Everything! it is a beautiful boutique hotel in a stunning location. but what really makes this hotel experience is the lovely personable staff. Facilities are high class - buffet breakfast, rooms, spa etc A special mention must go to the concierge Giovanni who went above and beyond to make our stay special and to Veronique who looked after us so well and was genuinely interested in us as guests. We will definitely come back as each day it felt like coming home and we were sad to leave!

All quite minor gripes but: We were given a voucher for a "welcome drink" in the hotel bar but when we tried to use it, we were told it could only be used on a limited number of options, which was irritating and felt cheap. Coffee at breakfast was more often luke warm than hot. The Spa and pool are open from 10, which makes it difficult to have a swim before breakfast.

Our room was comfortable and reasonably spacious. The bathroom (shower only) was luxurious. There's a lovely balcony with a sea view. Staff are very helpful, efficient and friendly, the concierge deserves a special mention. Location is excellent, next to a series of lively beaches with bars, and there's a frequent bus service into central Porto. There are excellent restaurants nearby and we were also enjoyed a meal in the hotel's Michelin-starred restaurant (advance booking recommended, we were lucky to get a cancellation).

Nothing to dislike here. Having spent my entire career as a hotel developer and owner, I could not fault this property.

One of the best hotels we have stayed in for years—great attention to detail. The food was terrific and the staff went out of their way to please. Guest relations manager, Veronica Amadio, handled any request with a smile and was ever-present. The breakfast was superb! Where do you find Moet & Chandon champagne and fresh Oysters on the breakfast buffet? Truly 5 stars...The rooms are a bit on the small side but were beautifully designed and comfortable.

No sausage option at breakfast...but to be honest, soo many other options and the very fresh fruit made up for that. No kids facilities, went as a couple, but might choose a different hotel if going with kids. Or maybe if I went with kids I may have seen what it would really be like for kids.

Everything! Friendly, helpful and super attentive staff, nice pool and spa facilities. Good breakfast spread. Free bikesnto explore the town. Great location on the beach front. Lovely well kept gardens. Comfortable room, reasonable range of tv channel options.

A few things. I didn’t like that I felt like I was being watched wherever I went because there are cameras at nearly every turn, even in the spa. There is a lack of privacy on the balcony as well which didn’t allow me to fully relax during my stay. I did like the buffet breakfast and food at the on-site restaurant fleu de Lis and spa, however in both experiences there was high pressure to spend more which took away from enjoying the experience I was having. I noticed the other patrons (which were French and Spanish) did not experience this (I’m American and speak some French and Spanish but don’t understand Portuguese well).

I liked how comfortable, spacious and well designed the room was. the staff at the front desk went out of their way to ensure I enjoyed my stay.
