We missed not having tea/coffee making facilities in our room

The hotel was in a good position for sightseeing, it was very clean with friendly staff. They provided a good selection of food at the breakfast buffet. The hotel was very close to the historic tram stop.

I was mystified by the need to tell them when I would be coming for breakfast each day.

The river view was great. Having said that, you couldn't really sit and see out the window because it was so high. It's in a quieter area of town along the river. The room size, for Europe, was good. The staff was great. The rooms all seemed to be named after artists (mine was Paul Cezanne) and there was beautiful artwork on the walls. They also serve their own wines which is a nice touch.

We had booked a river view room and from the photos on the website were looking forward to a room with a window and ( small) balcony . Our room did indeed have a river view but only when you stood to look out of the window…disappointing although very comfortable.We would still hope to return .

Location was quiet but further from the centre than expected. The location was not what we expected.As the hotel as called Gala Porto Ribera we thought it would be more in the centre.That said it was a 2 minute walk to the tram so we sued this for travelling into and out of the city. Tea making facilitates in the room would have been a help as would an iron. We have never stayed in a hotel that did not have irons in the room. When we asked to use on we were told we could pay for a pressing service.

The breakfast was good with a variety of items to choose from. The room was comfortable, and as we asked for a paid upgrade, we had a view of the river. The staff were helpful and the bar and setting area for a small hotel were inviting.

Location was too far from the city center. I wouldn't stay in the Cais de Ribeira again.

The toiletries they are offer is just a shampoo/body wash combination. This was similar to another hotel I stayed at in Portugal so may be the standard. I prefer better quality toiletries. Next time I will bring my own.

Location along the river was amazing. Away from the crowds, but close to the sites and had amazing views. The facility itself was lovely. Restaurant and bar on-site. Breakfast was consistently good each day. They also have a cute little gelato cart in the lobby which made for an excellent treat after a long day of walking the city. Highly recommend this hotel.

The river-view balcony on our extra cost room had a balustrade that was too high to see anything of the river

The hotel is conveniently located in the quiet area of Cais das Pedras. It is nice to stroll along the river or take a short tram ride to the historic city center

There wasn't a coffee/tea facility in the bedroom, pillows are of poor quality and no toiletries available except soap. I requested 2 single separate beds and found 2 joined up single beds with little space to separate it.
