The outdoor space was quite shaded by 3-4pm in February, to be expected in a beautiful urban jungle but a bigger patch of warm sun would have been nice. Breakfast was o.k./nice but could have been better (note I ate it all just lacked variety)

Room was lovely, furniture old but rustic with a colonial feel. Lots of lust outdoor plants. Staff were very friendly and hospitable. Breakfast had a calm relaxing vibe

I found the room to be a bit too small and parking was very difficult. There is not parking at the accommodation and finding a spot on the street nearby can be very challenging. There was no specific garage or parking option recommended by the hotel.

The staff was nice and helpful, and we really enjoyed the large common spaces/amenities of the hotel - sitting area, outside areas, and indoor pool. There are tons of places to just hang out, both inside and outside, and the outside area is very green and well kept. There are tons of restaurants and bars all around the area.

The room was clean but could do with a wipe on the surfaces and floors. There was constant noise from the generator outside the bedroom windows.

The complex is amazing. The garden is beautiful and makes the morning breakfasts a true pleasure.

Welcoming and helpful staff (dealt promptly with any issues). Excellent location for Lido, restaurants and fast bus route to town/airport. Great to be in a more traditional classic building rather than one of the many impersonal concrete blocks built all along the coast. Two pools, outdoor and indoor, with the indoor pool/spa bath very modern.

Couldn’t pay cash for the drinks. Only one room key, which has to be placed into the wall slot for the lights to turn on.

Staff was extremely friendly. Very close to many many restaurants. The place was kept very clean. Extremely quiet through the nighttime.

There was nothing we did not like, we would 100% recommend this villa to family and friends.

This was a truly wonderful place to stay in a very central location. The gardens, outdoor and inside pool were amazing. The accommodation was excellent and there was plenty of choice for breakfast. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. This was our first visit to Maderia and if returning would have no hesitation in booking this beautiful villa 😍

Smell of blocked drains in our room that was blamed on the time of year. Staff tried to resolve issue and the situation improved a little. Lots of steps and stairs to navigate if your room is away from the main building.

Little oasis in busy location with both an outdoor and indoor pool. Staff excellent. Close to a range of bars/restaurants and on main bus route into the old town with bus stop 50m away. Very quiet with no blaring music.

Some elements are a little dated, but it feels homely and worth the money. It is a little far from the centre of town, but walk isn’t hard and a bus is possible.
