The cats were not a problem for me but be aware of the advice the owner gives. I could hear the bathroom above my room but it wasn’t too disturbing.

I prefer a softer mattress, but firm seems to be the standard in Europe, so it really isn't a critique --- just what is normal. Bed linens were wonderful, though!

Breakfast was excellent! The host was perhaps the most kind and attentive host we've had - he even gave us his parking place, made a dinner reservation for us, and dropped us off on his way to the store! Great location - easy walk to the train station to catch the bus to all points of interest.

We loved everything.

Superb furnishings and decor of fully equipped studio (small fridge and 2 burners, dishes etc) and the fastest internet we encountered in Portugal. Included a deluxe continental breakfast with fresh fruit salad, freshly baked rolls, and a selection of local cheese and meats, as well as muesli, yoghurt etc. The host and staff were very friendly. Not far from train station, in a quiet neighborhood.

Water in en-suite shower room was very hard to control. It was extremely hot and getting it to the correct temperature in the shower was difficult. Also we understood from the hotel information that car parking would be no problem and we incorrectly assumed it would be off the public road. Parking is actually only available on a narrow public road where the hotel is located and space is limited However we did manage to park our car up on the kerbside for the duration of our stay.

It was pretty tricky to get in if you didn’t have the key. The bell wasn’t working properly, I believe so we couldn’t get into the property straightaway.

The small shower box was a minor problem. But it was a nice bathroom.

The incredible breakfast table with various options, served in a Victorian like room. Delicious. And the silence around the property was a blessing.

Was warm in room a fan would of been great to have. Neighbors next door let their dogs constantly bark for hours on end. Was annoying as we had to have the window open due to warm room. Hard to sleep as dog barked into late evening constantly and nobody stopped it. Would consider not staying in a residential area next time. Shame as this place was great. Breakfast was delish

Great location. Not in the old town, but a quick walk to it, the train station and excellent spot for exploring by hiking up the hills. Room was spacious, and had everything you could need. Sumptuous breakfasts!

The only thing was the musty smell at the Rosas apartment located below ground level and parking.

The street where the place is located is a very quiet street, perfect for good night sleep and close to train station, restaurants and attractions. We stayed at the Rosas Apt. and it was great. The friendly cats are a plus .. We had access to the indoor patio from the room. The breakfast is amazing, you can count on having a healthy and hearty breakfast and head out for the day. Francisco was a good host and we were able to check in ahead of time. The parking can be a challenge, but we were able to find parking on the street and didn’t move the car the two nights we stayed in Sintra.

CATS!!!! There were 5 running around the property . We were provided with squirting water bottles to chase away the cats if they got in our room! Also, needed another shelf in the bathroom for necessities.

Loved our room complete with a little kitchenette. We even had our own private garden area. Breakfast was amazing! Staff SO nice. Everyone was lovely!

Beautiful B&B. Ours had a small kitchen, well equipped. The hosts are so kind and helpful. Francisco acquaints you with the surroundings and anything you need for a great stay in Sintra.

Hosts are very warm and welcoming people, we felt like visiting our grandparents! Nice breakfast and friendly cats, all amenities needed were included in the room. And we were lucky to get a parking place just in front of the building.

The bed would benefit from a mattress topper as we found it to be quite hard. Our only recommendation for improvement.

There was nothing not to like.

The suite was perfect in every way, with pretty antiques yet the bathroom was sparkling new with up to the minute features. The bed was comfortable, the unit had a lovely attached patio, and a useable kitchen area The owner was so kind and the breakfast was the most amazing meal I have ever experienced, with their homemade bread, meats cheeses, yogurt fruit and wonderful fruit salad. There was even peanut butter and Nutella. The location was walkable to the downtown yet on a lovely residential street

Unfortunately, the lack of air conditioning in the room made difficult to sleep-/ would be even more difficult in heat of summer.

The breakfast were an amazing experience with plentiful fresh fruit, pastries and savory meats and cheese. The bonus was sharing the time with the gracious host and other guest.
