The location was just perfect for us: very quiet but still in the old center of Funchal, with the seafront and plenty of restaurants and bars just footsteps away. The owner is extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent!

Impeccable location for walkability of Funchal and the building has a lot of charm and character. Ended up staying in both the balcony suite and the top floor room as there were a couple of hiccups with plumbing renovations, which were handled quickly and made up for. Special thanks to Andy who is lovely. Definitely worth going for that top floor if you can as it's gorgeous, the views and the enclosed balcony are dreamy. Very comfy beds in each, the other rooms are fairly no frills but arguably good value for a comfy bed in such a convenient picturesque location.

The location was perfect....easy access to the town of Funchal, parking, and a wonderful cafe/bar steps away to enjoy at all hours. I'll certainly stay again on my next visit to Madeira!!

Beautiful property, perfect location, and the most hospitable staff and owner. Breakfast was delicious, especially the homemade banana bread cake made with bananas from the garden.I can’t imagine staying anywhere else on the island.

There was nothing we disliked - Vitorina Corte Guest House suited us perfectly.

We loved the feel and location of this lovely historic house and former family home of the owner. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly and we really enjoyed the company of the guest house's lovely owner Grace, who really engaged with us. It felt like home from home. Convenient parking in a garage one block up from the property.

Very nice welcome. Very good location, near cafes and places of interest, good communication. We got a tip for a good place to eat and it was amazing food. For an additional fee, they took us to the mountains by car and after the tour they took us back by car. Reasonable price.

Keys were a nuisance to use, hard to open entrance door which was unlit at night so even more challenging. Budget rooms were small and cramped. Next time will spend more money for en suite bath and easier access.

Location was ideal for dining and sightseeing. Club next door was a bit loud on the weekend but very convivial and handy for sundowner drinks. Guesthouse owner is American so communicating was super easy v

The place is very well situated, there is a nice small bar next door and you fall asleep hearing the waves. The garden in the back is really beautiful.

Absolutely charming place and wonderful hosts! I spent a week at the guesthouse and had a great time, meeting lovely people to chat with over delicious breakfast that catered to all my dietary needs. I received plenty of tips on sightseeing, driving, and things worth trying. Daniel kindly assisted me with language while organizing whale watching. My room was clean, equipped with all necessary amenities (fridge, TV), with a view of the charming church and, of course, the ocean. I happily recommend it and can't wait to return :)

The guesthouse is in a 300yr old building, which makes for creaking floor boards there is no lift, which might be an issue for some.Our room was at the back of the guesthouse, and it didn't have much natural light coming through. we had to have the light on quite a bit.😞

The location in the heart of the old town is excellent. The staff were so helpful and friendly. Optional breakfast is very reasonably priced.

The location was perfect, I managed to get the apartment facing the ocean which made the stay very pleasant. Fabiano also went above and beyond, even recommending itineraries for visiting the island and was always available for any questions about the stay/island.

Nothing can be done about it but be warned - the room has one set of doors and right outside it the reception with all the guests talking to staff, starting early in the morning. We've been woken up by loud conversations every single morning.

Beautiful location, ocean view from the little balcony, remote enough not to bee too crowded but super close to everything we needed. Friendly staff.

The room was lovely and very spacious, with everything we needed for a few nights in Funchal. We had a balcony overlooking the sea and the cobbled street (all lit up for Christmas when we were there!) which I would recommend. The location is ideal for walking to plenty of restaurants and bars in Funchal. We had a hire car and although the streets are very narrow we managed to navigate a Jeep to the front door of the property where there was enough street parking. Fabiano And the team were really warm, enthusiastic and welcoming including emailing us a list of their local recommendations. Above and beyond hosting! Would absolutely stay here again for visiting Funchal.
