United StatesIt was my birthday and they left notes and a cake to celebrate me! Awesome staff. We had housekeeping every day twice a day ... it was wonderful having my room cleaned in the morning and refreshed in the afternoon. please stay at the W and enjoy a great time 10/10 :)

The property was mad insane one of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed at!! Cannot fault this place!! if you’re debating on going here just do it you will not regret it. The staff went above and beyond for us as it was my birthday they sent us NON alcoholic champagne to celebrate because we told them we’re not drinkers. They sent us fruits and desserts and VIP wrist bands for an event they had going on her the weekend!! We cannot wait to come back here worth every penny. Thank you so so much to everyone at W Algarve!

Fantastic stay, this Hotel re-defines 5-star in the Algarve and is up there with Hotels you would find in Dubai. Décor is stylish, fresh and super cool. Vibe is of the scale and all staff are super friendly. Food variety is excellent, of high quality and well priced. I liked the location as it is privately tucked away but still close enough to old town and the main beaches. If you want a high end place to chill relax that offers great value, the Hotel is a must.

Irelandit’s a bit out of town but we had hired a car so was grand I would recommend hiring a car if you staying here and want to get about.
This hotel is 5 star all the way from the moment we arrived we were greeted to glass of wine on arrival and what can I say about the staff made you feel so welcome and nothing was a problem went out of their way to help you fabulous.

Also the services around the pool wasn’t great , you had to beg for food and drinks or go find a waiter , they need some sort of booking app to take your order and it goes straight on your room bill , and number your beds so they know who’s ordered what

Should have comped us for breakfast to offset but no, would not do that. Oh, the HVAC in the replacement t room did not work either, slept with the deck door open.

United KingdomThe food in the restaurant Paper Moon was not good We had to send back the fish as it was not cooked in the middle. It was still cold. The price of the wine was astronomical, double the price of the pool bar.
The breakfast was very mediocre nothing special but could have been a lot better for the cost of the hotel. Seagulls were outside the restaurant waiting for food they could snatch off the tables and none of the staff did anything to get rid of them.

PortugalI was expecting that hotel would actually improve the cons it had last year, as they just opened their doors and there was a lot of room for improvement. but...no...they did not.... Food and beverages part - very!! limited menu in the main restaurant. Very untrained stuff in the main restaurant. Especially breakfast shift: sometimes we should have waited for a long time until somebody would approach us at breakfast to offer coffee or juice. The waiters are very good at not noticing you. Eggs station: very often nobody was there. one day some lady was at the eggs station and cooked me the worst omelet of my life. I could not eat it. She just put a lot of salt right in the center of omelet and I had to chew a little pile of salt. On one evening, the waiter at dinner was addressing me in a very informal, I would say vulgar way. something like "Hey Man" , "I got you man", "i see, man". We were sitting at table, 3 of us, with my wife and daughter, and none of us could understand why he talks in such a way. Food at Papermoon was mediocre (it is the best way to put it), the food at Wine (or Vino) was better (I know they share the same kitchen with Papermoon, I think we got a bit luckier that day). A Sommelier and manager at Wine is a great professional, very intelligent person, the one of the few people who work in the hotel since the last year. Communication with front desk - it was OK, but we did not have too much to ask them about. Pets Policy - unfortunately, policy of a stay with a dog is still not well sorted in the hotel. Especially the issue with housekeeping time. It all ended that I had to go to the room, call a housekeeping, then wait for 30m till almost 1 hour when somebody shows up, and so on. Inefficient. I do not want to teach anyone, but may be looking at how other hotels in the area manage this issue would help.
This is our second stay at W Algarve. The hotel tries to live up to W expectations. In some parts of it they can do this and and in many others - cannot. Still great pool facilities, although some buttons at jacuzzi were broken, very good service and food on the Wet Deck and, of course, Luis, manager and chief barmen at the lobby bar makes great cocktails, communicates with guests, giving some great hints on where to go nearby etc. Hotel is boasting a huge territory, with some beautiful dancing fountains at night, nice ambience especially at night. Hotel also arranges luxe Saturday parties, but as family travelling with a small child and a dog - we did not take advantage of them.

United KingdomRemote location. Bed fee of 125 euros per night for my son despite not being informed when we booked it. Automatically taking 900 euros from account to cover room tab. High prices of food and drink in the hotel. There is no privacy in the rooms. The bathroom is behind a glass window which leads to the main area so when you come out of the shower there is nowhere to change in private.
