Funky hotel with great staff, great restaurant and a superb location. Room was cute and price was amazing! Great affordable option for a solo traveller.

Wow what a different/unique hotel experience. First, the front desk was so great. Stayed late to make sure that we were coming (we were delayed) and was making accommodations to make sure we were able to get in. Super cool layout of the hotel with intertwined ramps to the different floors. The room itself was great. Clean room, great shower. Soundproof walls, no windows, comfy beds -- a perfect night sleep. If you want a lot of amenities in your room, this aint it. If you want a different experience, reasonable price, and a great night sleep, this is your spot.

When I came into my room it was clear it had just been cleaned, as the bathroom floor was still very wet from mopping. However this was fine as I had just checked in to drop off my things and then left right away; when I came back it was dry.

It felt very relaxed and welcoming; I liked having a space to myself for a night and felt very comfortable there. Staff were friendly, the beer at check in was a nice bonus, and the concept is very cool. The restaurant was also lovely!

Despite the originality of the rooms, it did feel a bit like sleeping in a wardrobe with the feeling of little fresh air. For a 2-3 day holiday is fine and fun, but longer than that I would personally wouldn't do it.

The location was great and the staff was very friendly.

The box was cozy and everything was clean and tidy, the mattress was huge and has the perfect firmness. We experienced some minor technical issues with our Box, but the very attentive staff sorted them out by reassigning us to a fresh Box within ten minutes of contacting them. Couldn’t have done any better! The hotel is very close to the historical center with all its restaurants and bakeries, as well as the marvelous botanical garden of the university.

Sound isolation is not as good as I expected from such an enclosed and almost windowless space, but it is not terrible.

I've been here multiple times and it never disappoints. Staff is awesome, rooms are cozy, all the meals are great and it is located in a very central area. They also have lockers that you can use for free, to keep your things before check-in/ after check-out. Parking was never ideal, but the city parking by the river is not expensive and is quite close too.

It's close to the old town but far from the bus terminal and main train station.

Very friendly and helpful staff. The bar upstairs is chill. It's nice to take their welcome drink there and relax. The room is even more spacious than I expected. And two benches to sit or layout my stuff.

The only 2 negative things I noticed was that I still heard voices outside the door. Meaning that the soundproofing, even if very great compared to other hotels, is still lackluster. And the other thing was that there was a lot of dust in the box where the airconditioning was blowing. So every time I turned it on I felt the sudden increase of dust in the air. That was noticeable enough for me to not give this hotel a 10 but a 9 instead. Still, considering an average score would be a 5, this far exceeded my expectations

The concept is amazing. Everything is clean and good quality. Staff was great. Love it here, I'm coming back soon

All was good.

Quite an unique place to stay. Under 10 minute walk from Coimbra-A train station easy to find. Amazing place on entering. Very helpful at reception and I was happy to receive a nice bottle of beer with my key-card. Amazing carpet along thd communal corridor. The wooden floor and walls made the room. Very modern down to the light switches and air conditioning controls. Spacious shower room. It was a damp day outside, about 16c but very warm inside. My room was 24c but the air conditioning brought it down to 18c. Took me a while to figure out how to use the controls but I had been linked up to WhatsApp advice number who would have helped had I needed them. I had a great meal at the adjacent Zero restaurant, where I had breakfast the follow morning.

As long as you expect and realize you are staying in a box without amenities like a TV it's a fun place to stay with a nice breakfast and bar.

I can't think of anything.

I loved the hotel concept. It is different of what you are used to. The staff was super friendly! We loved the welcome package of two branded cold beers (I was sold at that point ^^). The rooms were small but enough if you are not carrying more than a carry on per person. It is perfect if you don't want to be bothered by the noise of the street as you don't have windows and it's well isolated. It was perfect for us to battle the jet lag. The breakfast was very good! they had DIY pancakes and crepes, and you have a nice variety of food and nicely displayed. We had some cocktails from the bar at night and there were very good too. The restaurant located on the top, were you have breakfast, is super cool with a funky decor. We were very impressed and would definitely stay again :)
