“The property is located in a fantastic spot with the views of the beach and water. We had the balcony room on the water side, so views were amazing. The property is nice, although we had bought antipasto meats and cheese etc for dinner on the balcony. There is no cutlery, plates or wine glasses in the room. Although when we asked they were more than happy to provide them to us. Staff assisted with booking us into a restaurant for lunch.
The staff were very friendly and helpful.”
“Extremely welcoming and serviceminded hosts. The food was just perfect, we chose a wide range of appetizers and it could not have been tastier. We asked if they knew a place we could visit for mozzarella production. In the morning they had arranged a visit at a fantastic place nearby, and they accompanied us there to make sure we found the way. Walking the extra mile for my family and to make our stay even more memorable. Thank you!”
“The place is awesome. I stayed here for five days. Alexander is an awesome person. He provided me with awesome food. Dropped me to the work location as well as the station. I highly recommend this place in Paestum.”
“Very kind and welcoming staff, convenient shuttle transfer from train station, excellent mattress and pillows, private beach nearby, had one of the smaller room and still felt very comfortable, serene location (quietness suspended only sparsely and enjoyably by the train passage), delightful courtyard with old olive trees (likely and fortunately salvaged from a former orchard), bikes available to get around the place.
In the vicinity of the hotel one can also find a very nice namesake restaurant; there aren’t very many other options nearby for lunch/dinner, though for what i’ve managed to see that is not much different than for the rest of the Ascea (with the caveat of the season being only incipient when I visited); but then again, the Being is so much more than eating :) (winking at all the aficionados of eleatic school of thinking wandering here for good reason).
I would very gladly return to Porta Rosa whenever back in Ascea in hope to meet again the same charming people and place.”
“Pisciotta is a jewel. Village... Culture,...and quite possibly the best uncrowded beach ever.
A very old town. This accommodation puts you right into it.
We had a lovely view from a beautifully rustic room”
“They received us 30 minutes before the check in, this was really cool from them and we really appreciate that. Besides that, nothing else was really really enjoyable”
“Amazing location. Family run historic hotel with a lot of character, with balconies right in front of the castle. Parking is free on the street, therefore not guaranteed, but staff at the hotel will help you to find one.
Annamaria is the smiling and super friendly host who can prepare truly home made Italian pasta and delicious local food in her small on site restaurant. You do not have a menu to choose as such. Just say you will consider dinner or lunch, Annamaria will let you know what she will prepare and if you like it just arrange an approximate time for lunch or dinner. Honest, it is the perfect day to finish your day.”
