“The best B&B we had so far. Very friendly host and gave us great recommendations for a pub with live music. Breakfast was also very good. We enjoyed our stay and would come again.”

“Wonderful apartment above the pub, so we could conveniently pour ourselves upstairs after a nightcap. Despite it being above the pub we couldn’t hear any noise at all. The apartment was clean, the beds comfortable, and the kitchen well stocked. Centrally located, so any easy short walk to the restaurants and the harbour. The young barman who let us in was warm and welcoming.”

“What an amazing location, just outside Donegal Town! I had a few days away with my mum and two younger sisters and we booked the family room. It was so comfortable and such a large room Breakfast next morning was a feast and set us up for the day before we headed to the beach”

“I was in Donegal for a family reunion as spent every summer about 4 miles outside the town and a lot of my teenage years. I was the only member of the party here. Right from booking , Paddy offered me a lift from the bus stop so I knew I would get a good Irish welcome. I flew to Derry and got the bus down but there’s parking if you come by car. I was in Room 3 which was to the front but very quiet at night. Bed was comfy with a cotton sheet, duvet and heavy mat, so something to suit everyone. Weather was amazing when I was ther so was glad to have the option of just a sheet. Heavy curtains meant the room was dark. Shower room was fine and everywhere spotless. A wardrobe and 2 bedside cabinets. The room had a kettle, supply of tea and coffee and a TV ( which I didn’t use as was out mostly). There were German, America, English and Australian guests over the 4 nights I was there. The hosts were very helpful with information as both are local people and clearly know Donegal well. Breakfast was a choice of cereals and freshly cooked Irish breakfast or just scrambled eggs if you wanted. This B n B is how I remember Irish houses and hotels, full of knick knacks and character, if you’re a fan of soulless boutique hotels this isn’t for you 😂. The location is a short walk from Donegal town centre and the shops and bars. I had family to give me lifts and wasn’t going too far but you can get buses from town to Dublin, Galway, Sligo, Derry etc. I had originally tried to book The Abbey hotel as had worked there as a teenager but it was fully booked. This place came up on Booking.com and was a good price, you can phone and book directly which I would do if going again Paddy dropped me at the bus stop when leaving 5 minutes before bus was due realised I’d left passport in bedroom drawer, phoned and next thing Paddy was there with my passport before the bus! I would highly recommend this place for anyone visiting family or touring Donegal”
