    “This is the second time we have stayed at this property because it is idyllic. Very much country living, surrounded by olive trees up a hill off the Palia Ag Nikolaou-Ierapetra road and 2 km walk from the closest village and less than 1 km from the closest beach (there are three options). Each time you look out of your window, you can see the beach in the distance; you are surrounded by gardens and a pool on one side. There is parking for cars. My room had all amenities ie bathroom, kitchen, separate bedrooms, wifi, hair dryer, etc. and was super clean. What makes this place special is knowing that many people return to the same place for its tranquility but also the hospitality of the owners. Athina and Poppy are amazing; they epitomise the true meaning of Greek hospitality and make a fantastic Greek coffee. Because I don’t drive, Athina picked me up from the Agios Nicholas KTEL bus station and showed me which stop to use as the bus routes had slightly changed. For those who don’t drive, you can catch a local bus (timetable varies with season) - one stop is 400 metres from the villa and the other 2 km in the beginning of the village.”

    “We loved the breathtaking view on the Lassithi Plateau from the balcony of our bedroom or the restaurant on top. The lodging is brand new (only 2 years of use) and much bigger than what it appears on the pictures. Everything is perfectly clean and well thought of. Plus, it is equipped with a washing machine and a dryer; it is pratical to stay there to wash laundry before continuing with your journey. Emmanuella, the owner of the place and restaurant, is a perfect cook and host; we ate very well! Do not skip out on her meals, they are worth it. She is very warm and welcoming person. We loved the entire family working with Emmanuella. They speak excellent English; making it very easy to communicate. We regret not having spent more time there. If you like to hike in the mountains; this is a perfect place to stay for 3 to 4 days. It can be nice to cool off a little bit in the mountains from the coast temperatures and be away from the crowd. That place will fit these needs. Also, it is only an hour away from Spinaloga and other beaches; it is easy to spend part of the day on the coast and be back for the evening.”

The kitchenette was well-equipped with everything needed to prepare a quick breakfast or dinner, making our stay even more convenient. Katherina and her husband were incredibly kind and welcoming hosts, ensuring we felt at home from the moment we arrived. The location is ideal, with the beach just a 10-minute away. The village itself is small, quiet, especially in May, providing a perfect retreat for those seeking tranquility. Overall, our stay at LivikoView was wonderful and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and pleasant getaway.”
