Mababe River Lodge & Campsite Review score: 10

“We expected something fairly basic, but it is not basic at all! What a magnificent place. Superb location, massive and very luxurious rooms with full view of the bush and a stunning restaurant and bar area. We also expected to struggle for food. But Mababe River lodge has a wonderful chef, and our meals were delicious and very plentiful. The staff is also very welcoming and professional. We had tons of wildlife around our rooms, including hyena and lion. We will most definitely be back!”

“Everything! Campsite is situated under trees, so nicely shadow. Unfenced, so you get the real natural wildlife thrill :) Lodge is amazingto hang out and watch the plains for more animals. Loved the honesty bar: grab your drink, make a note, pay later Owner/staff is really nice, we had great talks in the evening. Perfect start/ending point for Chobe!”
