We wanted to visit the area but were reluctant because we could not find good accommodation, and than I saw Arka!! We were not disappointed :). The place is brand new, with all facilities that were important for us: private parking, easy wheelchair access, elevator, restaurant with good food, comfortable clean and modern rooms, and a gorgeous view of Danube river and the shores. The personnel was friendly and accommodating, and the atmosphere was exactly what we needed after a long drive. I liked that they are genuinely interested in improving all aspects and learning! Thank you Ionuț for the great service in the restaurant, and thank you to all ladies at the reception!

The food is extremely expensive considering that is not something extraordinary. We have ordered a pork knuckle which was frozen inside. When we cut it off, it was full of ice. We would have appreciated if it would had been well warmed inside to not eat ice scales

Generally speaking, there were just minor drawbacks that did not affect our stay here too much. Bathroom has a very modern but slightly inefficient design that does not allow too much privacy (I've seen this trend also in other modern hotels). An expresso/tea making machine in the room would be also a welcomed addition to the room.

Cozy and pleasant hotel with a tasty breakfast. You can use the outdoor pool there. We had a room with a balcony and river view, which was magnificent. Carrefour market is in a 10-minute walk. Center - about 15 minutes walk. The overall experience of staying there is really delightful.

Bathroom ideea, although very clean and spacious

The single rooms are a little small. Nothing to be concerned about because they are practically designed nonetheless. To some people, the pricing may seem a little steep. To me, it is well worth its pricing, especially since the hotel is brand new, and you do get what you pay for. We even caught a strong storm the first night we stayed, which did some small damage to the place with water infiltrations in the lobby (excusable, as the hotel was 3 months old and I think this was the first big storm of its kind it went through), but the rooms were totally fine.

The hotel is conveniently placed near the Danube. The staff went all the way to make our stay comfortable, especially with overnight parking, as we arrived in a special, limited series car. Although the parking was full, they accommodated us nonetheless and even waited for us at night to ensure we were well looked out for. Service is great also, food at the restaurant was good/properly served and the Danube view is lovely. The staff has been exceptionally friendly, and that is truly the best part of it. In my opinion, Orșova had (for a long time) been a city with no proper European-level accommodations, but this shows a great shift towards what the area really deserves - high-quality service, in a good, central location. We had not tried the pool, but it looked nice and there were lots of people enjoying it.
