Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PortugalThe area was a little dark and it would not be good to travel alone as we didn´t feel very safe and cofident travelling around those neighbourwoods.
The room was clean and very quiet eventhoug it is close enough to the old town center. The building has been rebuilt and the rooms are cosy. The breakfast was good.

United KingdomYou can hear the trams, worse nearer the front. However a number of reviews say this. It didn’t bother me personally.

RomaniaOne thing to mention is that usually there's not a lot of people in the area, so it could seem a bit isolated, especially at night; however it was safe overall, didn't have any issues.
The hotel is in a good location, close to the Piata Unirii and public transport like metro, tram & bus. The breakfast was good, there were both warm and cold breakfast options - and the ladies working there were always very welcoming and friendly, and making sure the breakfast bar is always stocked. The room was big and clean (even though the amenities are quite old); the big desk and the small desk & armchairs were very useful for working as well. Overall it was a nice, comfortable stay & value for money. We will come back for sure.

GreeceI suppose that the quantity of breakfast choices should be more as we're talking for a 4 star hotel. Also, the stuff should be more gentle and communicative with customers! Great cons the fact that most of the stuff was talking in Romanian instead of English!

United KingdomIf you’re looking for a cheap hotel that is clean and comfortable, then I would highly recommend this place. Traveling to the old town from here by Uber only costs 18 RON, which translates to £3.18, so it’s a great place to be based. The furnishings are slightly dated, but it exceeds expectations for the price we paid. Breakfast is decent and plentiful.

TurkeyIt was not that close to the city center. If you are traveling with your family, you need to drive or take a transportatşon vehicle to get to the city center.

BelgiumRenovation should be planned. Further the continues tremors from the trams passing by is annoying. So not a good choice for people that have difficulties to sleep.
The breakfast was good. The staff were very helpful and offered without asking for it whether I wanted a freshly made omelette. The location is good as there are some fine restaurants in the neighborhood, given that this hotel does not provide dinner.

IrelandThere was nowhere to sit in the sun they had chairs outside but in the shade. The location wasn't good alot of derelict buildings. My room was small and a small window in the back, it was like the maids quarters.
The bed was comfy, touletries were good slippers etc.

BulgariaIt is a little noisy during the night because of the other guests in the hotel(maybe it was because we visited during the weekend).
The hotel is nice and clean, the bathroom is spacious. We parked the car just in front of the hotel which was great because the location is in the heart of the city. The receptionist was very helpful and polite guy who informed us for everything in the area. The price is reasonable, the location is great.

Romania- old furniture, old bedsheets - not a great value of money, but at the same time hard to find something else in Bucharest - close to public transport
Decent location, but the hotel in urgent need of modernisation. Breakfast was nice but a new coffee machine would be needed. The furniture is really old. Personnel was friendly and nice.

NetherlandsThe room was absolutely not soundproof, which made it really difficult at times with all the voices and TV sounds from consecutive rooms. The bed was very uncomfortable and bent so you would roll off in the middle. The breakfast did not have many options but just manageable.
The location is quite close to old town which makes it quite walkable to most of the places.

United KingdomWhen we asked for a taxi to go to the Bucharest Therme , a lady at the reception called one of the yellow taxis available in the city . She told us a reasonable price, we accepted it, we pop on the taxi and the driver said 3 different prices ( the lady told us 70 lei, the driver said 117, then nearly at the end of the drive 170 pretending we didn't understand and then he begged for money for drinks, so he asked 200).
The hotel is really close to the city centre , 10 min by walk . It is surrounded by old buildings , sometimes you feel that you are back in old times , with ruins around but that's how the city is. So, don't be scared and walk. The hotel is good.
