Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

RomaniaI don't think they renovate the location since the opening. The room was on the front of the building and was nosy during the day, also you can't stay without using the curtains (the passers can look inside the room).
Breakfast was OK, there were plenty of stuff you can choose from. The location is close to the city center - 30 min walking (descending to get into the center, but climbing the hill to get back to the hotel)

RomaniaMy ground floor room was right by the entrance, so I had to keep the shades on all the time and if people speak loudly outside while out for a smoke, they will wake you up early in the morning.
The breakfast, the location, the fact that there were plenty of towels and shower gels. Fast check in and check out and the price is fair.

BrazilI was expecting that my room would have a cattle, a microwave and a sofa. At least it was mentioned in the description of the room when I booked it. This did not compromised my experience there, and when I needed to use the cattle I asked the staff and they opened the kitchen for me.
It has everything you need for your stay. Located in a cozy and quiet area, but a bit far from the city center. The breakfast was very delicious. The staff was friendly and helpful.

RomaniaBathroom kinds small, but clean and did the job!
Awesome small boutique hotel. Very friendly staff, closed underground parking lot and nice small breakfast. Rooms were enough for 1-2 nights, clean, cozy and nicely decorated. Rooms was hot and hot water was a blast. Also got all the amenities you’ll need for a short stay. Also the price was very good for Cluj. Definitely would be back here! 100% recommend!

RomaniaNot so much a pet friendly hotel. If you want to be a pet friendly hotel you will need to improve your request. If there is no sign with “no pets allowed on the breakfast area” - we have to be allowed to enter!!! It’s a shame that you take money - allot of money for a dog, but you are not a pet friendly hotel and you dont offer a bowl of water. The location was meah and it was good just for tranzit.
It was very hot in the room and the breakfast was okish

RomaniaLocation is a bit hard to find. During our 3 days stay our towels were not changed, garbage was not emptied either.
The location felt cozy, it is pretty close to the city center, we had almost everything we needed. Staff was incredibly friendly and the breakfast was decent considering the price we paid altogether.

GermanyThe dining/ breakfast room is very tiny, no windows. We felt squeezed in. Apart from that, the rest was ok.
Nice big room, with aircondition. We could easily park the car. Our dog was also welcomed, which is rare to find in Romania. Very good breakfast.

SlovakiaObviously, the location is intentionally photographed in such a way that it is not possible to see exactly what building the hotel is located in. It's not actually a hotel, but a repurposed ground floor of a block of flats, I'd rather describe it as a hostel with separate rooms. The access is actually to the parking area between the blocks of flats from where you walk up the stairs to the front side of the block, which is where the reception is. There you get the keys to the underground garage (so you have to carry your luggage by hand from the underground garage to the street, then up about 20 steps and a short walk of about 5-10 m to the reception). Tha underground garage is an extra 5 euros per day. Free parking is in the surroundings, i.e. in the parking area for the residents of the apartment blocks. So city centre it's not close by walk, about 20 minutes walk, we went by car. The reception is on the ground floor of a block of flats, we were "lucky" that at that evening there was a receptionist who didn't speak much English, so we communicated more by gestures. Although the rooms are spacious, our door would need some repair, if we had any valuables we wouldn't have felt completely safe. So, summing up, it's more for young travellers or travellers with a low budget who don't care about quality beds, mattresses, location.
You get what you pay for. If you're not looking for extra comfort and luxury, but just need somewhere to sleep, this is the place for you. The rooms were spacious and clean except for the decorative pillows. I appreciate the lady at breakfast for her helpfulness, communicativeness, for breakfast there was enough choice of food and drinks, tasty coffee, just cramped space and unstable tables. There are restaurants, pubs, pharmacy, drugstore, grocery store, church (maybe this is of interest to someone: :) or public transportation. Just classic residential amenities.

Nice hotel overall, a mile or so to the city centre, so ended up driving in. Clean with all you expect from a hotel. Located within a block of flats, so diffrent which is great.

SlovakiaNothing serious actually. Maybe, if someone wants to work, there was no real table.
Quiet place, if you do not have a room next to reception (outside are sitting people till midnight and talking). Large bathroom, too soft beds for us :) (this is individual), but extra bed (which is Sofa) was better. 20-25 minutes walk to City, close to Hotel there is bus stop. It is at housing estate, as part block of flats, so parking is at the street for free - but in the late evening you have to be lucky to find something close to Hotel (as usual at cities). Enough to choose from breakfast, but do not come too late, because it will be cold. Friendly service and communication.
