How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

A lovely apartment equipped with everything you might need during your staying. The host was very helpful and polite. Clean and comfortable. Very spacious for a family of 5. In an excellent location with a beautiful park in walk distance. I would definitely recommend it!

I really liked this apartment. Just 4 metro stations away from the city centre. A nice spacious 2 bedroom and 2 bathroom apartment. Supermarket, coffee shops, kebab shop, bar and restaurants all within a few minutes walk in each direction. The owner is really easy to get hold of via whatsapp. Takes about an hour mid afternoon in an Uber from the airport due to the traffic, costs around £25. In the morning, however, only 20 mins. We got an Uber at 0330 and was at the airport before 0400. Make sure you tell the Uber driver the apartment is at the "Mcdonalds end" of the long street. Ubers network takes you down the other end of the street. Strong WiFi also and an array of TV channels in local and English tongue. Metro station is an 8 to 10 minute walk, in one direction. At the end of the street (next to metro station) is a fairground if you have children with you. Bravo.

The apartament was enormous. My friend and I were expecting 1 bedroom and 1 of us to sleep on the couch. Turned out to be with 2 bedrooms. Absolutely amazing And 2 bathrooms. Besides, the host were amazing. They went out of their way to help us. I really appreciated it

Everything!!! The apartment is sunny, and soooo warm! Exactly what you need in the winter! There are air conditioners for the summer as well. There is everything you need in this apartment! Also a parking place only for the apartment which is very good. The owner is amazing and so polite, she explained everything to us. Comfortable beds and pillows and very clean everything. Definitely an amazing place to stay!

Everything was perfect.
10/10 for the host, at the end he was extremely nice with us and welcomed us to visit again. The apartment was very clean, very well heated, everything was functional. We enjoyed our stay and we would definitely return next year. Clean, very well equipped, good communication with the host. Great location, 2 minutes away from a non stop supermarket. The bed was super comfortable, bathrooms and kitchen very well equipped, just perfect for us, who had to receive some visitors for Christmas. Also, high speed internet throughout the flat!

Really great host, squeaky clean apartment with great sound insulation and amenities. Close to the metro plus parking spot for you - gives you nice flexibility for travelling around.

We were three days in this apartment with our baby, and everything was great. Very quiet place, near a lot of magazines, a big park and underground station. Apartment is very clean and kitchen is equiped with everything you need. Owners are very kind and nice, and wanted to do our staying more comfortable. Our best recommendations😊

Great and very friendly hosts, the best on Booking.com :-) Helped with parking and finding restaurants in the neighborhood. The apartment was very nice, quiet in the nights so got a good night rest.

Wifi not reachable in the second dormitory.
Free parking, cleanliness, 6 mins walking distance to metro station, 3 mins walking distance to the closest supermarket, great internet speed for digital nomads. Plenty of space and beds.
