How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Warm water is limited, boiler looks to be holding about 30 liter. Enough for a quick shower but not a bath. Thin walls, you hear a lot of what the neighbours do, and they hear what you do. Luckily the neighbours are quiet.

There was no hot water in the only sink.
It is a nice cozy place with a comfortable bed and bathroom. Having an electric water heater in the apartment is a big plus.

We've been now 3 times in Bucuresti and lived in the center, but never so close to the old city and the parlament. It's on the 1-st floor, the access to the studio is very easy, such as communication with the owner. A friendly person who answers fast if you have a question. The studio has also a washing machine with a dryer, which we really appreciated after a very, very wet concert in pouring rain on Arena National stadium. The weather was also extremely hot those days, so the aircondition was a must! Close to many good pubs and restaurants, and you can find a shop and a cafè very close to the studio. And if the weather is bad or too warm, you have a TV with a good sound with Netflix. We strongly recomend this place!

The location. It's 6 minute walk to old town, the river, the Fontaine square etc. Apartment was clean, all facilities great, specially the bathroom was luxury with non limited hot water, washing machine etc.

Very central location, comfortable bed, really clean, Netflix, the TV and internet are working perfectly. Even if the building seems to be quite old, inside the apartment is really nice decorated. We had some problems to open the outside door and the owner helped us via phone even it was more than midnight when we arrived. Thanks a lot. We can highlight recommend it.

Great location just two blocks from the edge of old town. The size of the studio was perfect for us! A laundry/dryer combo was a nice touch to do a load while we were on a longer trip.

I don't have any objections and dislike moments. Everything was fine.
Location is great and very close to the old city. It is also close to the Parliament. Hospitality was wonderful and fulfilled my expectations. I am very satisfied with my choice and stay in Bucharest.

The neighbours were very loud, very disturbing.
Great location! The bathroom is renovated, I appreciate that. The bed was comfortable and the room big enough.

Only one small detail: Some reading lights next to the bed would be nice so you need to get up and switch of the big light before going to sleep.
Very nice and clean room, very centrally located with good access to public transportation, also the airport (express bus 783 stops right around the corner). Communication with Larisa was very smooth and personal and we felt very welcome.

I would definitely recommend this place for a short stay in Bucharest. The location is perfect, just a short walk from the parliament and the old town, with some great restaurants less than 2 minutes away. The apartment was clean and comfortable and very quiet at night. Larisa was very friendly and helpful and always available to answer any questions and accommodate requests.
