Thank you, everything is top-notch! My family and I have stayed at this Cabana multiple times, and I'm confident it won't be the last. It's the perfect oasis amidst the mountains, after a long journey through the forests, where you'll be deliciously fed, warmed, and warmly welcomed. Despite being located in the forest wilderness, everything here feels like in a top-notch hotel: spacious rooms, new furniture, fresh produce, and an ideal atmosphere! And most importantly - you'll be greeted by friendly, responsive, and heartfelt people.

Nothing. Everything was perfect! The highlight of my stay at Hotel Cabana Fantanele was undoubtedly the breathtaking views it offered. From my room's window to the expansive terrace, every vantage point provided a picture-perfect panorama of the mountains stretching as far as the eye could see. The serenity and tranquility of the surroundings made each moment truly unforgettable.

Hotel Cabana Fantanele offers an experience that transcends the ordinary. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the sheer beauty that surrounded me. I loved everything: the variety and quality of the breakfast and dinner offerings. It was particularly impressive to learn that everything served is produced by their own company, ensuring exceptional taste and freshness. Moreover, the dining area was immaculately clean, adding to the overall dining experience. The accommodations were nothing short of exceptional. My room was tastefully decorated, exuding warmth and comfort. The attention to detail was evident in every aspect, from the plush bedding to the modern amenities provided. Waking up to the sight of the sun rising over the mountain was a surreal experience that will stay with me forever. Very good location in the middle of the forest on the way to Toaca peak in the Ceahlaul massive with a quite fast (1,5 h) and easy access from Durau. Clean, comfortable rooms, nice compact facility, with half board big meals + drink and sauna / jacuzzi all included in the price. Highly recommended.

Everything was so nice. It is the second time we go there this year. The staff is really friendly, the sauna and the ciubăr are really nice and relaxing. Food is super delicious and plenty. It was really a relaxing trip. The room view is breathtaking. It was amazing to sit in the bed and enjoy the view of Vf Toaca. Incredible. The owner did a great job with revonaving the caban. Can't wait to come back again! Worths its money!

Everything it's exceptional. The building is bran new, austrian style, location is fabulous - splendid views over the surrounding mountains and also towards the Ceahlau peak. Rooms are very very big, tastefull decorated, and you can benefit from a homemade product breakfast (owners have their own farm and the meat products and also the dairies are homemade and taste like once upon a time, in childhood) and also from a very generous and tasty 3 course (drinks also - wine, beer, soda) dinner prepared by a masterchef, all included in room rate. Facilities acces - jacuzzi and sauna is also included in the price and also great. You really feel like being in an Tirol style resort; in the morning, the beautiful terraces are full of hikers that stop by to have a break on their way to different trails. Trails to Dochia, Toaca, Duruitioare waterfall, Durau town, are accesibile from there.

I wouldn’t say I didn’t like it because I like hiking but to get the view, you need to work for it. From the parking log is an 1h-1h15’ trip to the cabin, depending on how many breaks you take. The trip is mostly climbing (ascension). From Durau city I would say you get to 1h30’.

Fantanele Cabin is a nice clean hotel with friendly young staff. It might seem too expensive at the beginning, but the view, the rooms and the food will be worth it. The breakfast is good, the same every morning, but with plenty of options to chose from: vegetables, meat, cheese, eggs, butter, jam....etc The dinner is quite nice. You have several options to chose from (for starters, soups, main courses, deserts, drinks, etc) and everything I’ve tried was very well prepared. The view is astonishing. This is the main reason you would hike for more than an hour to get to the cabin. I had a room facing the hotel main terrace and the mountain panorama, which was amazing.

The music outside was repetitive, annoying and way too loud... One expects silence and the sound of nature on their way to the top of the mountain. The food is good, but it is too expensive - and a bottle of water too!!!

This may not be a problem in the winter, but in the summer, at night, there's this heat exchange happening with the outside and for a few hours in the middle of the night I felt like the room was a boiler, really hot. However, I am really light sleeper, so for most people this might not be a problem.

Incredible location, a bit of a hike to get there, but well worth the trip. Room and amenities are on par with the offering, comfy bed. Food is above average, my partner and myself are quite the foodies we and we didn't have nothing to complain about. Also, it would be wrong to have fine dining expectations on a mountain :).

We wasn't expected a remote mountain cabin to be so comfortable. The renovation worth the waiting, it has nice interior design, it was clean and it seemed always prepared, overall this cabin is way better than most of the downtown hotels. The location is out of a fairytale, from our room we could see the mountain peak covered in snow. it also give you a good head start if you want to climb the mountain (we did it in a 6h trip) or see the waterfall (we did it in a 4h trip). The staff is friendly and well prepared, giving cool tips and good recommendations, they helped us with anything we needed.

Everything. It was over our expectations. Very modern, comfortable and cosy. It is a lovely place in mountains so it is not easy to keep this standard of service. The view is fantastic, food and the peaceful atmosphere is simple the more I have the more I want.

Me and my wife stayed here at Fantanele for nearly a week at the end of august. First of all, the staff was amazing ( Nică, Ioana and Iliuță). Second of all the location. You can’t ask for more beautiful views of the mountains, and as soon as you open your eyes, you’re surrounded by them. We were greeted very nice by Nică and he made sure our stay here went as smooth as possible. The food was amazing also, Ioana and Iliuță went above and beyond so we can have everything to our desire. Location is ideal. You have trails going up the mountains ( Ceahlau with Vf. Toaca), a lovely waterfall (cascade Duruitoarea) and many other places to see. The woods around there have breathtaking views. I would go there every year, and would recommend it to anyone to try it at least once, and then you’ll see for yourself.
