How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Nothing not to like
Everything was perfect! The room was spacious, clean, comfy. The location is great, and the restaurant is one of the best I've ever been to. The personnel was amazing, really friendly and helpful

1. The room was very comfortable. 2. The bathroom has really hot water and good water pressure. 3. The bed was soooo comfortable that we overslept by a couple of hours. 4. The personnel made us feel like part of the family. 5. The food was so good that we wanted to steal the cook and take her home. 6. The location is in the old citadel in a quiet area perfect for couples and families. Our only problem was that we couldn't stay longer.

The service was outstanding, the staff incredible! Cristi and Dan helped us out with our luggage, altough it was not their job, they made us feel at home, cared for us, waited on us, and cheered us up the whole time from the very second we arrived, maintaining a natural smile that only comes from within, lots of experience and know how of international standards in hosting. Will definitely return here, hopefully in the same room (mosaic bathroom window ). Special thanks for catering to our English Bulldog, Jack; he just did not want to leave, feeling surrounded by pet loving folk! Thanks again for a truly relaxing experience, the good food and conversation. God speed guys!

There was a some noise from the restaurant until this closed - not late, but we like to sleep early.
Very well located for the old town and the sights, the room was next to a small restaurant. It was well laid out and spacious, with a good kitchen area and bathroom. We appreciated the good heating as it was cold and wet during our stay. The hosts were excellent and very helpful.

Parking is technically not possible, as the citadel is a control space. You can bring a car up to load/unload but have to park at the bottom of the hill. Other hotels appear to have registered some dedicated spaces in the street. It is also possible to find some empty spaces in the citadel overnight, once the crowds have left and entry/parking attendant have left in case you want to leave early in the morning.
Great location in the heart of sighisoara. The breakfast is excellent and there are plenty of options nearby if the food is not to your taste.

We had a truly wonderful stay at Casa Joseph Haydn. We had 1 superior double and 1 standard double and both were lovely. They look just like in the photos. The included breakfast was delicious. You could choose from the restaurant menu and the plates were like works of art. All of the staff was very friendly and willing to help. We had our dinner in the restaurant one evening and it was amazing in a beautiful courtyard surrounding. (Go for the Tomahawk!!! You won't regret it!!) At bedtime the silence was almost deafening...needless to say, we slept well! There were church bells at 6 am each morning but I think you would hear them from any hotel in the old town. If we ever return to Sighisoara, Casa JOSEPH HAYDN will be my first call!

The area is a little bit noisy in the morning, especially with a church (the church bells ringing at 6:30, 7:00 and 8:00 am) and a school nearby, but if you close the window it should not be such a big problem.
The breakfast (à la carte, with 4 options available) was really good. The stuff is very friendly and if you happen to be in Sighișoara for the first time, do not hesitate to ask them about the sights and places to visit.

A pair of slippers would be nice since there is a lovely parquet that deserves to be protected from city shoes ;). Everything else was lovely.
Comfortable, clean and stylish room, tasty and diversified breakfast and lovely staff, super helpful with everything we needed. We enjoyed every night the great sized and comfortable bed, the cozy atmosphere and the morning bells from the church nearby - never needed to set any alarms;). It was a relaxing and super charming stay, thank you!

Being such a small citadel, buildings follow the concept. Room size is ok. Bathroom however is smallish. One really needs to be careful about how to maneuver to avoid bumping into the sink metal support - an old sewing machine table. Car parking is outside the fortress, however you can enter for 15 min to unload, then park outside. Parking system is primitive using 2x5RON notes (no SMS, app, etc). Payable every day, meaning you have to go every morning and pay for the day.
Beautiful location in the medieval fortress of Sighisoara. Very clean room & bathroom. Nice and warm yellow color theme for the room and great tiles in the bathroom. Very tasty breakfast, dish served out of four choices. 100m away from the main square.

Sadly there was no air conditioner in our room.
