I am a passionate traveler, and rarely I have found hosts as welcoming and caring as Maria and Marcu. Besides showing us the apartment (spacious, clean, and well-maintained, situated in an exceptional location in the historic center of the city) and offering us a glass of homemade liquor, they also guided us through the beauties of Sighisoara, walking us through the medieval streets, proudly telling their history, and even pointing out the best places to dine. Don't miss out on this gem!

This was a wonderful quirky, rustic, spacious and very clean apartment within a few minutes walk of everything in the old town. We were pleased there was air-conditioning although we didn't use it overnight. Mariana and Gigi went over and above to help with excellent recommendations for whatever your interest is ... and as is mentioned Mariana is very pleased to give an excellent informative private tour of the old town ... and the opportunity to dress in costume and get some photos taken!!! Merci fain!!

Everything at "Casa Marcus" is focused on the client's comfort and happiness. We loved everything. Warm hosts, comfy beds, sparkle clean. Amazing location if your purpose is leisure. As a family with 5 kids, we warmly recommend this property.

Very friendly hosts, involved in promoting the Old City of Sighisoara. They provided a guided tour of the city, with many unknown details. Rooms very large, clean. The only inconvenient were the stairs, but it is understandable, as the house is situated in the Old City and the space doesn't allow another configuration.

Maria and Marcus are super helpful and welcoming. Maria gave us a free walking tour around the citadel and we learned so much about the history of the place. The accommodation itself is Marcus's ancestral house which dates back to the 17th century, a very interesting specimen of local architecture!

We have been travelling for over 100 days straight and this is the best accommodation we have stayed in. Great location, fantastic apartment and the hostess Mariania was the best. 100% would recommend to anyone going to stay in Sighisoara.

Mariana is so kind and with hospitality. We feel comfortable here. She offered homemade flower juice and cookies. And you can choose traditional clothing to wear around the castle. We had a lot of fun. She also did a free guided tour for us about the history of Sighisoara. Room is so spacious and comfortable.

- The water boiler isn't large so you can't take very long showers. - The wifi was not so great in the furthest bedroom, but fine in the other rooms.

This is possibly the best place we stayed at during any of our vacations, mainly due to the host, Mariana. Upon arrival she helped us carry our luggage upstairs and then served us tea and cookies while discussing the history of Romania, Transsylvania and Sighisoara. Later she gave us a tour of seven local restaurants, going inside and showing the menus/atmosphere since she knows many locals. The next day she also gave us a guided tour of the entire citadel while explaining the history of the town. All of this free of charge! The actual apartment itself is also nice and cosy with a rustic atmosphere, since the house was built in the 1600s. Because it is located at the edge of the citadel, you also have a nice view over the NW part of the lower town and the hills beyond. Moreover, there is a separate little house in the courtyard where you can make yourself tea and coffee.

The place was wonderful and the location is perfect in the center of sighisoara. House was very clean and big and with wonderful view ; also the garden where the hosts invited us to drink coffee with them in the morning was amazing. Hosts are so friendly and helpful and they made a tour for us explaining the city's history and sights.

Casa Marcus was gorgeous! We had to book it spontaneously one day before arrival and both the hosts exspected us in front of the premises. They were unbelievably friendly and helpful, supportive and caring. They offered us much more than we could accept because of our short time. Next time we will definitely stay longer and appreciate more of their hospitality. Even before we came there, they cared about our further continuation of the trip/airport transfer etc. and they phoned at the station and friends etc. just to get the correct information. They support you in every possible way, but are not intrusive. This kind of hospitality is the hospitality I found allover in Romania twenty years ago - authentic, farseeing, quick and uncomplicated. When we entered the courtyard, it already looked very nice, there is a pavillon in front, where you can sit and read books or play games, have a drink, meet people etc. You turn to the house and reach the apartment over some stairs which looked selfmade. You enter the apartment and see timber wood that is highlighted and wonderfully fringed by self-made stairs (see photos). All was very spacious and i loved the bathroom. The best part of the apartment was the bed. I think I have never slept in another bed as well as here. It was extremely comfortable! :-) Another good thing: The position: It doesn't seem so in the map, but you are actually stillin the old centre, few steps away from the common sights, but you have a wonderful view from the windows (panoramic of downtown) and are part of the citadell, just in a calmer and less touristic position. All in all, we had a perfect, though much too short, stay, and can only recommend going there, meeting those people!

Nothing, perfect.

Amazing hosts, we were treated perfectly. Our host even gave us a historical tour and showed us some restaurants, in which we ended up having great traditional food. The rooms were incredibly clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. Location is perfect, close to the city center and just 15 mins away from the train station. Recommended.

Everything was very good. There's nothing we didn't like.

We were very well impressed with the location, it's right inside the medieval citadel, overlooking the 'city below'. The rooms are in the attic of a family home, he's a 3rs generation Sighișoara citadel inhabitant so there are many stories to be heard. The rooms are nicely decorated, beds very comfy, lots of wood and friendly fabrics. Bathroom fully functional, kitchen likewise. The TV is smart, which we really appreciated. The hosts are very welcoming, they made an inner terrace where you can have free tea, coffee and information. She gives tours of the citadel too, very well informed ones. You can tell they really love being hosts.
