Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomFridge in the room was very old and had an unpleasant smell. Door looked very old. There were so many power sockets in the room that it was eery. Bed makes a squeak when sitting on it.
Very affordable. Bathroom although shared. was very close and I didn't see anyone else using it. I arrived late but that was not a problem for the host. Clean towels and sheets.

Romaniathe bathroom and the toilet are shared but they are cleaned every morning.
The host is really kind, the double room that I reserved wasn't available so the host gave me a bigger room (triple bed) for the same price and he even mad a small discount for the second day, the room was really convenient, with a flat screen TV and a fridge. Hot water in the the shower and hair dryer and clean towels. The room and the bathroom are very clean.

SloveniaYou can only pay in cash, but there is an ATM nearby (10 minutes walking distance)
The staff was super friendly and have explained everything well, even if they don't speak perfect English, you can communicate everything with them. The room was clean, the shower and toilet were also super clean and in a working order. But the best thing is, we came with our bikes and we could park them right infront of our room and we practically slept with our bikes 🙂. The parking is enclosed and off limits to general public.

SloveniaA lot of noise from the road. The hostel is on the road crossing.. The rooms are not isolated and it is slso possible to hear noise from other room. The second problem was smell in the room. They are ovrersmoked by smoker in the past. The price you pay is too high considering the room quality.
