How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The entry and second bathroom
All facilities are good. Many stuffs in the kitchen and bathroom.

The only slightly unexpected thing is that there were no communal bathrooms. Both bathrooms are en-suites, and the second toilet does not have its own door and is behind the same door as the third bedroom, meaning only the larger bathroom (which had the shower) is usable during the night as it (the smaller bathroom) is essentially the same room as the third bedroom. Only other thing is that the third bedroom (connected to the smaller toilet) does not have air conditioning. These were minor though and we absolutely loved our stay here :)
Very spacious - excellent for a group! Lovely living room with a larger dining table and an outdoor terrace which were all lovely to sit in and eat/chat as a group. There was plenty of space so we didn't get in each other's way at all. Air conditioning was very effective, which was a major relief as it was 37C in Bucharest on the day we arrived. Lots of fridge/freezer space and full amenities in the kitchen, including a dishwasher which made cleaning up and preparing food ourselves very easy. Comfortable beds as well, and was very clean and tidy!

The house was in a great location. Getting to the old town was easy on foot. Alexandra was willing to serve us and communication was prompt. The house was wonderful. Comfortable spaces, many more amenities than we imagined. We will definitely choose it again as Bucharest was beautiful. Thanks for all!

The only downside was that there is only one bathroom and for 8 people it was taking us forever for everyone to take a shower. There are two toilets, though one of them is basically part of one of the bedrooms - there is no door between the toilet and the bedroom so it's not really that useful.
The apartment is huge!! So much bigger than we expected. It does have kind of a royal vibe which is not for everyone but we thought it was good. The kitchen is also huge with everything that you need, including a dishwasher which was great for 8 people. 3 separate bedrooms and a couch that can accommodate another 2 people. The location is also very central but the street parking is free.

Amazing apartment. Very clean, spacious , quiet and comfortable. Walking distance to the old town. The hosts were very fast responsive to the small issues we had. There are enough free parking lots in front of the building. The flat has all the essential household things that are needed during a holiday stay, even more...

Maybe there could be some warmer and softer lights... every light we turned on felt like a lighthouse. :-) The shower could be replaced or a instructional video could be shared upfront, it's a real puzzle to make it do what normal shower do.
The apartment is really large, has excellent beds and it's very clean. Loved the fact that the apartment has everything you need, including small supplies a family really needs when travelling to a new place. The small terrace is a bonus, there are two playgrounds for young kids within 300 meters. Perfect place for a family!

Given the size of the apartment, one shower was too little. Also, since the only 2 bathrooms in the apartment are private bathrooms for 2 bedrooms, the guests of the 3rd bedroom must use one of these, which might be weird depending on the group.
The place is huge, clean, and the kitchen is well equipped.

only one: the main bathroom "belonged" to master bedroom. So if someone from the other 2 bedrooms wants to have a shower must ask permission from "residents" of master bedroom and must cross through them.
very clean, very quite, comfort, nice wifi, big apartment, nespresso machine, perfect decoration and furniture, helpful host, mini market nearby, 15 min to old town on foot.

This accomodation made our stay in Bucharest very enjoyable. Three seperate bedrooms, fully equppied kitchen, big bathroom with washing machine and a dryer, terrace and big living room with dinning room - this place was more than big enough for our party of five. Walking distance to the city center, few nice restaurants around. Alex (the host) was seet and helpful. We are definetly staying again while visiting Bucharest.
