Clean and spacious rooms, nice garden with a covered terrace for playing ping pong, darts, board games , etc which is quite nice when you have kids. Good equipped kitchen and very friendly personnel. Meals being provided on request were delicious and fresh.

    Everything was perfect

We had a wonderful stay in one of the coziest places I have ever been to, the room was very spacious and clean and it had everything we needed. The bed was very comfy and warm. The place is beautiful, it is located in an old Saxon house which was carefully restored and turned into a tourist facility. The kitchen was very good stocked with cutlery and everything you need and the breakfast prepared by the hosts’ collaborators was very good. They also prepare dinner upon request, but we arrived late so we did not have dinner there. Both the host and his collaborators are very helpful and responsive, some very nice and kind people. Thank you for hosting me and my mother, we had a very nice stay and a good night rest at your place and we look forward to visiting you again!

We liked everything about the property.

The fact that it was super clean, very quiet and had a big yard to spend the time outside. Also, we were very happy that there were bicycles we could take, a nice ping pong table and even darts to play in the nearby "barn". The staff present was very friendly and the food provided(extra charges) was nice. Thank you for everything!

Location is absolutely fabulous for a traditional local experience vacation, an old stable rebuilt with super good taste keeping the traditional architecture for accommodation, in a small and quiet german village. Close to main are attractions, Viscri Village, Rupea, Sighisoara, on the paths of Fortified Churches Trails (Mtb/Mtb). The hosts were so friendly, being open for all requests and preparing delicious local meals. We for sure come back again, and again. Thanks

The 1st + for me: Real pet-friendly accomodation, irrespective of the size and without extra charges. They even have bowls and food to offer if the pet-owners forgot to bring. 2nd+ Very clean - room, kitchen, yard, everything was clean. 3rd+ The host and the staff were very nice and helpful. 4th+ Very quiet location. 5th+ Regarding facilities: - there is a parking space just in front of the yard - there is a barbeque in the yard accsesible to all guests -they have a shared kitchen with all utilities - they offer free wi-fi 6th+ An old house with some vintige furniture, very tastefully refurbished. I definitely recommend it and we will definitely come back !

Chalet Giuel is a little gem hidden between the hills of Hartibaciu. It's a property managed with a lot of passion and with the desire to offer the guests a great hosting experience. The owner is one of the kindest persons I've ever met and his passion for hosting is visible in every detail of the property. Our room was very big, with comfortable beds and nicely decorated. The village is a typical saxon village, still offering images of an authentic rural life, with a very nice fortified saxon church and with kind people animating the streets. It's a great place for nature lovers, for those looking for tranquility and also for hiking or biking on the hills.

Everything was just amazing. There is nothing to complain about.

It is a magical place. We felt like at grandma's place. Great food, very nice and clean rooms, amazing and charming people, who made me feel like at home. It is a must visit place in Romania. The best place to stay if you want to see how Romanian life in a village looks like. I wish I had more time there. That was the best hotel I have been for a looooooong time. TV 10/10 🔥

Beautiful, quiet, remote little old Saxon village, perfect for relaxation, observational astronomy due to a very dark sky (SQM 21.7, the Milky Way perfectly visible with the naked eye, so even a pair of binoculars would give you astonishing walks in the sky), nature (old oak forests with practicable trails) and history trips primarily to fortified Saxon churches in the village/area/region. Given the village is not a transit route and how small/unpopulated it is, the area must have one of the least polluted air we breathed for a long time. Rooms furnished with taste, very clean. Very clean beddings, towels. Very hot water, so for showers we didn’t have to wait for the water to turn hot. Kitchen has all necessary amenities to cook and serve your own meals. The chalet has a large parking place at the street in front of the gates. The surroundings are picturesque, unfenced so you can freely have long walks or picnics, paint, read or just take in the wide views of hills, forests and a never ending sky. The few villagers that exist are nice snd welcoming. There are two little stores in the village that sell a limited array of ailments, bottled water, cigarettes, beverages etc. Hosts are truly very friendly and serviceable, ready to help or provide you with whatever particular needs you may have. Pet friendly, which was one of our main criteria, with a huge backyard/meadow & orchard behind the old stable where our two dogs had the time of their lives. We stayed for a week, and when we returned to the city we felt as if we came back after a long expedition and recharged for a year. We will definitely return. There aren’t really so many options left out there for very remote yet quickly/easily accessible, fully unpolluted, quiet, clean, affordable, well furnished, equipped and civilised places, are they?

For those looking for some quiet, genuine time in a Transylvanian village, Chalet Giuel is the perfect place to stay. Very nice, clean rooms, pleasant backyard where you can enjoy dinner in the open, all surrounded by a serene atmosphere. The hosts were extremely friendly and it was a pleasure meeting them and chatting with them. We had a lovely time there, fully recommend it. We would pick Chalet Giuel anytime if we were to choose between Barcut and Viscri.

It just happened that there was no electricity in the village when we got there due to storms in the area, but the hosts where more than helpful during that time. What we didn't like was the lack of a fridge in the room.

The hosts were very helpful and attentive, the location is quite awesome and the village is peaceful. Perfect for relaxing and exploring the nature. The room was big and the beds were very comfortable. Also the yard is great and we got to see an amazing night sky. Definitely will come back.
