How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

I bought by my consumption after 3 days, but on my last day checkout, they charged again for the same items. They could validate that by checking some historical payments, but what they said is, that the items were reported by the cleaner, and they couldn't do anything about it. Well, I paid twice for some consumption.
Things I liked, were breakfast, staff service, even about an issue I got during my staying.

It was not really that close to the city centre as advertised Rooms were an odd colour of pink with pink roses … very outdated

The staff was not friendly, the female receptionist in particular. I think it’s the Eastern European thing. It’s like they did me a favor to accommodate me. I was not greeted when I came in and then I was made feel as if I were impolite and I had to greet them first. I think that never happened to me before. The guys were nice though. Wi-Fi is non existent. I had to work and stood in the hallway trying to teach online next to the elevator, struggling to catch any kind of a signal.
It’s a standard hotel, clean, although one of the rooms had a smelly bathroom, but they moved me. Location is on the road, but close to the parliament.

With some exceptions (for example the head waiter who allowed us to have a coffee at breakfast before the bar opened), very rude staff. Some receptionists even speak a poor English. On the first day the bathroom in the room smelled like sewage (the following days the problem did not recur). In the end, it's really difficult to consider this a 4 star hotel. It's just a regular 3 stars.
However it is not located in the very city center, the hotel has a convenient position to visit the city. You can walk to the old town and the Parliament is right beside you. The room was spacious and well equipped.

Restaurant will not let you eat if you arrive after 9.30pm - it said 10.30pm in the brochure! Bar closes way too early too!
Good room size, but a little noisy at the front. Good value for money, clean and great location.

Breakfast was fresh and delicious. Staff even prepared us a breakfast pack because we had to leave early in the morning. View on the parliament could be better.

There was only i think some kind of conference a lot of young people who came back at 03:00 at night and probably woke up the complete hotel. But maybe we were just unlucky.
Rooms simple but clean, location very nice.

Need to pay to park the car( 35 Ron ) per day. Was much better if it was included in the room price. The room was not so clean, we found hair and bottles of shampoo ( empty in the bathroom). The carpet in the room was smelly. The breakfast was very good but too much people. Was a little bit of chaos. Nobody checked if we are staying in the hotel so i think anyone from outside can come inside and have a breakfast for free. In my opinion is not a 4stars hotel

Free wife is a little bit slow.
Location is top. 10 minutes by bus(385) to the old town. And the bus stop is in the front of the hotel.

The smell in the rooms (may be because of the ventilator? Horrible), lack of coffemaker in the room, the hair dryer stopped after 20 seconds of use.

If you turn up for dinner after 930pm you cannot eat. It advertises 1030pm. Room too hot and air con was awful, if you open window it’s like sleeping on a motorway.

The fact that although professionals some people in the night shift did not respond the way they should to customers when problems arise. They should be at least kind enough and able to hear the issue. Fortunately other people that handle the customers requests managed to solve the problem on time.
The fact that after a misunderstanding the appropriate personnel found a solution that solve the problems immediately. The facilities were good, clean and as described.
