Beautiful building, comfy, something special.

My stay at the Guest house Alte Post was very pleasant. It still reminds you of the old days when you traveled by stagecoach, or by steam train. The house is beautifully renovated, but has retained the flair of old times. If only the beautiful floor in the hallway could tell a few stories :). The walls are very solid, so you don't hear anything from the other guests and can sleep quietly. The furnishings are new, but match the flair of the house. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I found it nice that I got my room key directly after arrival and paid for the room only on departure. The hotel has a restaurant that offers hearty Romanian and old German cuisine. The portions are huge and very tasty. The breakfast buffet was very rich. The first day there was no buffet, because there were not many guests in the hotel. I got instead a huge plate with all kinds of things. Overall, a top address that I will gladly visit if I visit Sighisoara again.

I didn’t like the room I was given at arrival, I had to ask to be changed. The second room was much better.

Location is good, but the breakfast is mediocre. The restaurant however is very good. The staff was very helpful

The pillows should be made from natural materials to make the stay even better. It is not a hotel that will satisfy the historical purists neighter those with proffessional aspirations of decor.

Close to the citadel, historic building, it had working and silent AC, it serves a somewhat strange but good breakfast. Large room (n:o 5) with a view to other historic buildings.

Only a minor thing, at first the TV remote had no batteries, but the staff solved this very quickly. Everything else was nice and tidy.

The building is nicely renovated, but it maintains the old, traditional aspect. Very good location, right in the centre of the town, close to points of interest. The food is good and quite diverse, same with the wines! Staff is very friendly and helpful.

As with many historical buildings the rooms have an odd shape and configuration. The triple room was not spacious. The other rooms we got were decent size.

The people, their service was awesome. That includes personnel from the hotel and the restaurant. The building is awesome, especially the underground “Crama” and the restaurant at first floor. The food was awesome too.

Parking can be a bit tricky.

Very well renovated historical building with large rooms and all the comforts. The restaurant downstairs is great and very convenient for a quick bite before going out to explore.

Wifi in our room (6) was almost unusable.

Everything! Location, staff, quiet, air conditioned room, faint, sweet smell of wood smoke from brick oven downstairs. The building is very old and has a lot of character. Loved this place.

We enjoyed the location (very close to the old center) and the hotel's general aesthetic. A big plus is the fact they have a lovely restaurant too. The parking is a bit on a slope, but nothing too bad.

no lift, so you have to climb the stairs with your suitcases, if you get the room quite far, you have stairs up and down and up

good breakfast, very good localisation, down in the city just at the entrance to the old town, good restaurant in the hotel, beautiful inside and outside, with atmosphere
