How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Very easy to find. The stuff is very friendly! I met the owner and she is such a lovely lady! They have free towels, the toilets and showers are very clean, there is always hot water. I really cannot say a bad thing about my experience. *** I met a guy who had been in a lot of hostels in Bucharest and told me that he also thinks this is the best one in town :)

The location of the hostel is very central and at a great price point. We were greeted at the reception by a very nice lady that offered us donuts😋 and gave us a tour of the place. The hostel offers many facilities like a kitchen, 2 living rooms with TV and snacks on the house😃. The rooms and bathrooms are regularly cleaned. Would definitely come again.

I really like this hostel. The host girl Oana is very nice. She sent me all info how I can go from airport to hostel at night. It was help for me I need. The bed is clean and comfortable. There is all you need on the kitchen. I certainly recommend this place.

The push button code to open the bedroom doors was really annoying as would often need multiple attempts to open the door. Not enough showers. Staff not always there to talk to, but could message.
Good location, near old town. Good sized kitchen and common areas. Reasonably well stocked kitchen. Nibbles provided for free, but not sure how often refreshed.

Very nice people working there. I like that they have small rooms (4 bed female dorm) and the two of us even had the room to ourselves the full stay. A lot of showers and bathrooms, all very clean, and a good location!

I didn't like that it is more a family base hostel so the people that go here are mostly 30+
The hostel was very clean in every place (kitchen, bathroom, rooms) and really comfortable living room and beds

Everyone was incredibly helpful and welcoming. Highly recommend if you want a quiet and very clean place, near the city center that is also excellent value for money.

we booked two beds in a mixed dorm but got beds in separated rooms (as far as I got it they are not allowed to have a mixed dorm) even if there was water, every morning it was cold. in my room there was nothing next to the bed where to put stuff
the host was super helpful and cared about everything. also once a week she provides a free traditional meal for all the guests. there are lockers which are big enough to fit a bag pack every bed had two power outlets. location was quiet but super central (with the old town, bus and metro stop and a supermarket nearby)

A thing that might need fix, is to have a "Please whisper & cherish the dreams of your roommates :)" rule / sign for sleeping hours (12am to 8am or something) in the commonly used spaces as in my case, there were people talking and laughing in the living room until very late in the night, which was exactly at the other side of the wall that my bed/room was. (The host seemed thoughtful - I'm confident that it would be already fixed by the time you see my review)
The host was very welcoming and kind. The rooms were super clean - I felt comfortable walking with shocks. For solo travelers is an nice place to spend more nights as you have also access on various facilities and you can also easily meet and interact with other people in the shared spaces. The area is quiet even if it's around 10 min walk from center.
