The location is simply beautiful. Has a panoramic view of the hills around and the mountains in the background. The owners are lovely and very focused on the guests needs. we will return, for sure. Highly recommended.

The only bad thing is that is fairly remote, you need to have a good car or great care to get here as the access road to Magura village ( around 2km ) is rather bumpy and narrow in places. It's a shame that such a wonderful place does not have a proper access road, but it's not the property's fault.

We loved our stay at the property. The view is simply breathtaking, we chose to stay here based on the pictures on the site, but the reality was much, much better. The hosts are lovely people that made anything in their power to make us feel welcome. We didn't find anything like that in all our travels in Romania. We'll return for sure, maybe even take a few friends with us. The room was reasonably spaced and very clean and so was the bathroom. The restaurant had a lovely view and didn't feel crowded, even with the pension fully booked. The food was fairly priced and very delicious. We didn't have a menu to choose from, but we loved the cook's choice on both evenings. The private parking was spacious enough.

We didn't like that there was no refrigerator in the room, and we also didn't like that if you got up before breakfast, there was no jukebox or way to prepare yourself coffee. Some of us get up early.

We liked the guesthouse owners. They are very open people, usually smiling and paying close attention to visitors. And the view was breathtaking. We had a room with a view of the mountains as well as a terrace.

Camelia and Florin are wonderful hosts. The property is situated in one of the most beautiful areas I’ve ever seen in Romania. The views are breathtaking. The rooms are very nice and the food was excellent. Meals are not included in the room rate and you need to let the hosts know if you’ll serve dinner.

The view from the property is out of this world. What a place! The owner and her family were just lovely, so friendly and happy and nothing was ever too much trouble. We would definitely return.

Exceptionally beautiful location, the perfect place if you are looking for serenity and relaxation, but also a good starting point for visiting Magura and Peștera, very picturesque Romanian villages and for trail hikes in Rezervația Naturala Piatra Craiului. The room was clean and comfortable, with a balcony with a gorgeous view over the village and Piatra Craiului Mountains. The hosts were nice and helpfull and the price quality ratio was excellent. I think it is the best medium priced place to stay in Magura/Peștera. I am looking forward to go back.

The bathroom is pretty small. The bed is fairly small as well. Take into consideration that this is the first house in the village so there is a reasonable distance until de center or some hiking trails.

THE VIEW is breathtaking! We had room no 7, which had an incredible view, you could see the village, the little houses, the back yard and part of the mountains straight how you walked in the room or from your bed. The room is pretty big, very clean, nice big balcony. The garden was amazing, filled with flowers and benches. There is a nice area for barbeque as well.

There were nothing we did not like.

The location was wonderful (Magura is a true gem). The host was kind and helpful and the breakfast was very good. In addition, they allow late check-out (until noon), which is great. All in all, a beautiful experience.

Big room with a wonderful view, you can see the mountains while laying in bed. Very clean, heated at night (we visited in september), with hot water around the clock. The room had a big tv screen & good wi-fi. They also serve delicious food. The hosts were very friendly and helpful.

I would suggest for the owner to consider to let People pay for all the extra services At the check out. It was the First time i was Asked to pay immediately after every meal/drink.

Accessibility form the main road is challenging as roads are not paved. I wished we had a little outdoor play area for kids.

i think it has the one of nicest views in the area! At least for the apartment that we stayed in. It was the second time staying at this accommodation and the first time i had a room with a view on the back side of the house. The apartment is very large, with 2 rooms but only one TV. liked that i had a bathroom separated from the shower cabin, but the shower is small. Some improvements need to be done in the room furniture & bathroom utilities. No refrigerator. It has also a gazebo where you can eat outside if you want and do a grill. They are offering all meals on an "a la carte" model and you can use the dining room to stay and enjoy the evenings with the group. The entire region should be visited by foot as it is a very beautiful area and also Zarnesti city.

The food was good, however it would be usefull to know in advance that the menu is set to a fixed price. And the options are limited to 3 items. It would be usefull if the staff is more customer oriented. The fact that I have opted for rooms with pictures showing the view over the valley. Instead we've received the back rooms looking at...nothing.

Everything. To start with the positives; the view from the room is amazing. No doubt. What a shame that it’s from a dump of a room, in a dump of a hotel. I cannot think of anything positive to say about Pensiunea Magura, bar the above. The manager is absolutely in the wrong profession, as his attitude is terrible; thuggish and rude. Aggressive and threatening behaviour, too. There are also glaring inconsistencies in their listing against what’s actually offered. Don’t come here expecting an on-site English speaker, nor if one expects a comprehensive menu for dinner. Neither were available. The food is one meal, with a choice of meat. And the prices are extortionate; 60 RON. As for the English speaker….let’s not go there. They became almost mythical by the end of our stay. When my wife and I made our dissatisfaction known, we were greeted with laughing, accusations of drug use and being drunk. What’s more, the ‘manager’ tried to wiggle out of things by pretending Booming.com added things to the listing, or that I was using a different listing and using it against him to get ‘free things’. His female partner also abused us in Romanian. Either way, we got a refund for our stay (from Booking, not the hotel itself) but the memories of this place will remain for years to come. Had my wife been staying on her own, it would’ve been a very frightening experience for her. Be mindful solo lady travellers. Avoid this place if you can. You’ll not regret it. There are much better places to stay, and I can imagine world-class service when compared to this void. Zero charm. Zero effort. Zero across the board.

The price is a bit high for what it offers. The ceiling was a bit water damaged and it constantly dropped pieces of paint in a corner The shower had some problems so we couldn’t use it at full pressure. The price for the food is exaggerated and tea or coffee aren’t even included in the breakfast’s price. The access road is terrible and impossible to use during the winter. The heating was turned off from time to time and the room got a bit cold due to that. p
