I recommend talking slippers with you for the bathroom. Sadly no Blowdryers, no handtowels or electric Handdryer in the bathroom (i used toilet paper or my shirt cos i always forgot my towel haha), Sometimes no soap, no Trashcan in Bathroom. No locker in the room, also anywhere else i didn’t see one but i didn’t need one cos i felt so safe. Girl doors right next to common room, but all travelers were very nice and not loud during the night. I hope they install Curtains on the beds soon, the rack is there already. U can tell it’s new, a few details missing but overall i felt so comfortable and safe:) hiiiiiiiigly recommend!!

This hostel is very new so not many reviews but WOW i’m happy i went there. So new you can even smell fresh paint. Very clean, modern and comfortable, without a doubt the best and cleanest hostel i’ve been to in romania. Girl Dorm has 8 beds, big enough room, no curtains but they installed a rack, i hang my towels there for privacy:) Heater in Bedroom all night long on, Big blackout curtain in front of the window, every bed has a Light and a Power outlet (one normal, one USB). Enough space under the bed for your luggage. Kitchen nice, new and clean, everything there you need for cooking. Round table in the middle so you can eat in Peace. Bathroom shared, one shower with toilet and an extra toilet on each floor, u can lock the door. They provide Shower-towels and there’s soap in the shower. Next to the big mirror was a small one that you can pull out for doing your make up! It was not very busy so i always had access. Warm water during the night. Common Area with Smart TV, beautiful comfy couch, table and Balcony for the smokers. Even a desk do to your work and a Music Box. With genius 3 level i got 4 nights 12 euro per night. Single stay 15 Euro. Amazing price for the luxury u get.

This hostel has a problem with design. Since you have sofas and TV next to your sleeping room, you hear constantly voices. This is the case if your room is at the first floor, you can make sure that there is no sleep for you...

    Staff was amazing.

The entry way and bathrooms have tile floors that are extremely slippery. The bathrooms seem nice, but 8 of the 10 showers are in the basement which has a musty smell. I met one traveler who would not go down there because she feared mold. So she used one of the 2 ground floor showers, but the hot water would turn off on her sometimes half way through. Downstairs, it's hard to find a comfortable temperature, and even if you do bursts of scalding water come occasionally. The staff are all volunteers who are only there 2 weeks to a month, so they can't really help with anything other than basic tourist questions. I fell on their slippery stairs which were wet after being mopped (no sign was posted and the paint is a shiny black, so hard to tell if they're wet) and broke my wrist. The reception could not direct me to a hospital with an ER (they sent me to a cancer hospital which then directed me across town to one with an ER)--a big waste of time. The owner just said sorry when I informed him of my injury.

There are 2 kitchens, which is nice, but only one set of pots. The stove tops take some getting used to, but work well once one gets the hang of it.

The room M were I stayed had about 15m2 but 6 beds in there if everybody would stepped out at the same time it would be horrible - no chairs no table and even the one window you could not open - there were two construction were you could hang up your cloth or towel - the lockers for all the rooms where two floor downstairs quit small anyhow -?as usual of course no hangers - bathroom had any electrical socket and hairdryer was missing beside there were steps to get in the bathroom into the shower and the same in the toilet besides - in the upper kitchen were only one pot and a horrifying pan - the induction plate had not enough power to cook properly. The reception had a tiny little space to provide what kind of service - saying hello? It needs a really good concept to be more than just a place to store people! The Matratze are thin foams and the covers all synthetic- you have any privacy and you have any tray in your Koje where you can put some of your belongings.- I was lucky that there was only one day room M was fully booked - I would had be going somewhere else if that would be the permanent standard - but as I could see there was not so much difference in the other rooms - at least they could step out more easily.. It really spoiled a bit my enjoyment visiting Bucharest

The house is really good - it’s large two floors two bathrooms two kitchen - you get a free towel and all doors are looked with a code - that make it easy to handle everything by yourself. This places has a good basic to be one of the best hostels in east Europe - needs new spirit not only to be profitable but also being and communication hotspot for all those foreign people coming to visit Romania.

    - toilets and bathrooms always wet and dirty - no toilet paper in the toilets and no one in reception to ask to refill - location is next to impossible to find with no board. Arrived in the middle of the night and took forever roaming around to find this. Not a single board anywhere. - no one at reception to help most of the time. It s a real horrifying experience just to get to the hotel and then keep waiting for someone to arrive at the reception. There are lots of people stranded at the reception waiting like this. - owner Adrian is rude and arrogant who treats guests like vermin just cos he owns the place.

The owner of the hostel is a bully, especially terrifying me as a solo female traveler. I had ankle surgery and had swelling on my ankle after walking so was seated at the small lounge with my ankle resting on a cast iron table. He came and started shouting at me that the table is not to keep foot on, so I explained my ankle is swollen and showed him the cane. The next thing I know he wishes me to pay for the table stating the table leg seems a little dented to him. I mentioned all the other hotel guests have been doing so and I had photographic evidence of guests doing so. Suddenly he says I have broken the hostel rule of putting my ankle on the table, and that he is evicting me in the middle of the evening/ night at around 8 pm. I was flabbergasted cos he didn’t have a problem all day long when he was in the lobby checking in other guests when white folks were keeping their foot on the table but suddenly had an issue with me - a person of colour - doing so, maltreating me. So I said i am disabled, and a solo woman traveler and have no place to go in the middle of the night, and next thing I know he gets a security guard to throw me out. So I hold my ground and quote the law and call booking to keep the fellow’s arrogance in check. Had to call the swiss embassy who spoke with the Romanian government in turn who told me the police shall be sent to help me if the owner Adrian misbehaves further. Booking should delist this hostel. Not to mention that this hostel s bathroom showers wet the whole floor without adequate cover in one bathroom, and the other shower not being covered, and people use towels to mop the floors which re then washed and given to you. Was aghast to see this and cringed at the thought of using the hostel linen and towels. Went out and bought my own towel after seeing this. The kitchen has barely any utensils; has a single fork and spoon.

The volunteer staff Rhuan and Andrea were the only saving grace of this property which is otherwise the worst hostel I have ever stayed in over traveling across all over europe.

It was really hard for me to find the location, it was dark and I tried at least 3 gates. I think a street sign can resolve this issue. It has a certain smell when you walk in, I think it's humidity but the first night I couldn't sleep because of it, the rest of the nights I adapted. The bathrooms were very dirty and cleaned quite rarely, there was no toilet paper at some point. The beds make sounds and it was a lot of noise from the kitchen area from other travelers. For how cheap it is I get it, but I won't come back unfortunately..

I liked the location because it was very close to city center and it was really easy for me to go to work and to go out in the city.

I think is the worst hostel i've ever been. On friday night there were a party in the living room right next to the rooms where people wanted to sleep; the music was really loud, screams, dirty everywhere and the bars, pubs and clubs are just 10 minutes by foot. Why don't just go there? I've been here for three nights, till monday, and the fourth day nobody cleaned the floor after the party that was on friday. The bathrooms were also dirty. The only good thing is the position. I appreciate the receptionist who apologized to me. In other Hostels there are rooms just for this kind of things, and if there aren't, then people are not allowed to do whatever they want and wake up other people at night. Also please clean the hostel more often!

The only good thing is the position.

Unfortunately the hostel just wasn’t very clean. Bathrooms in particular had dirty floors and dirty toilets. Not sure how often they get cleaned. Sometimes with no toilet paper or soap. I was moved from the 8 person female dorm to the 14 person female dorm because the hostel was overbooked. No compensation even though I had to go to a larger dorm.

Somewhat close to city centre. Close to a supermarket.

No privacy curtains on beds. Noise! I have stayed in many hostels around the world, including many party hostels. I also appreciate that there will always be noise. However the noise at night from what I can only describe as a teenagers getting drunk in a field was awful and carried on till 4 am. No respect for other travellers. Literally the worst I’ve ever known. This is not a fault of the staff or hostel, but there are no barriers between the dorms and social areas. This is also a common complaint looking at other reviews.

    Very clean, staff were pleasant.

The female dorm is right next to the common room. It gets very loud since the hostel doesn’t have quiet hours. I was here off season Wednesday and Thursday and it was still packed in the common room all night. When others checked in the guy from reception would walk people to their bed. Not very nice since it is a female dorm and people might be changing etc… Hostel is a bit hidden. When I arrived late at night in the rain no one was at the reception so had to wait outside 5 mins. Maybe they could just send you the code for the main door before your arrival. The bathrooms weren’t too clean unfortunately. Coming back tomorrow for another 2 nights (booked before my first stay) and fearing not getting any sleep

There were no lockers to store luggage secure (didn’t concern me too much as codes on doors for those staying). The female dorm is directly next to the common area so it is extremely noisy until 1-2am (my experience of a Sunday/Monday evening!!). One of the other guests did have to go out to ask them to turn the tv down. The room is spacious enough for 8 people, but I did find it intrusive as the main door opens into the room, the common room has full view into female only dorm - lack of privacy and poor planning of rooms. It was my choice to book female only dorm, I did not chose to be on display in bed or viewed when getting changed etc. The beds are uncomfortable as very thin mattresses - good for short stay but painful after 2 nights. Location was central in the city (10/15 minute walk from main bus stations) but poorly lit both along the streets and the hostel itself- found it difficult to find the hostel when arriving at night, I did walk past it to begin with, and then tried two different doors!! Had kept looking over my shoulder as a solo female traveller, it was not the most secure feeling. The cleaners came in daily to change bedding - however after my first night, I did watch the cleaner ‘sniff’ the pillow of a previous departed guest and put it back neatly presented on the bed(someone’s used bedding) until she had seen me present in the room, and went to get fresh bedding. I fear this has been done regularly to avoid a thorough clean.

The codes on the room doors were great to allow access to those with codes only. There was a rail available for a towel to provide privacy on bunks - perhaps a future curtain to be installed. The quirky decor was pleasing, made it a lot more inviting. Small towel provided which was handy. Shower room and toilet available for use, not the most clean setting. Kitchen was available to use however I chose not to use this amenity. Common room with sofa and tv available on first floor.

The common room is right outside the bedroom and it was so loud. One night people were shouting and making lots of noise from 2am-7:30am. When I told them to be quiet some of them then said they were going to their hostel which then made me feel unsafe as it meant there were random people who werent even staying there at 3am outside my room.. which completely ruined the stay. There’s no signage to remind people to respect noise levels like at other hostels where there are times where the common rooms are shut or have quiet hours. It’s so disappointing as the hostel is good value and nice, but the noise really ruined it. There was no staff around in the morning before I left to tell them about the noise either as I left early. It could be easily fixed with some signage or rules about respecting others late at night. There is no locker or storage to securely store your stuff which isn’t great. It would be so much better and would feel safer if you could lock your belongings.

It’s super modern and well decorated. It was clean
